Wiki for teams and/or organizations
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to maintain different spaces
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very expensive, a free alternative is MediaWiki which is actually the software behind wikipedia.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to document internal company rules and regulations and to share know how across teams

Really useful for interdepartmental collaboration and general company knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface and editing tools can feel somewhat clunky. Would be better if there were easier ways to edit documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating documentation that can be used as training tools. Good place to do knowledge transfers when someone leaves the company.

Keep the team on track on tasks . Information can be well organized using this software. Controlled environment due to role based access. .

very fewer options in the confluence editor.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very searchable and customizable - it can work for any organization's needs and can be modified and personalized at the individual level. My company uses it for documenting processes, templates, release notes, and more.

Few options for different views; not a very visual experience

Our business uses Confluence as a single source of truth and allows us to stay organized across departments. It's intuitive and has allowed members from each team to share knowledge and save important documents in a single, searchable space.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Establish a system before setting up. It will make your documents easier to find and help in the long run. The platform can get crowded pretty fast depending on your use case, so ensuring your nomenclature/naming system is uniform is key.

The ease to write the documents and formatting them, also the included diagramming tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if it's a known bug, but when applying the preformatted tag to some part, it removes the whole page formatting

I would love to have shortcuts in the sidebar. But it seems it’s only for spaces. I would like to have shortcuts for specific pages too

Since we have many different teams inside our organisation, it could be a disaster if everyone had its own way to document their work. With this, and with the correct permissions, we can have our docs well organised so anyone inside company can access them

What do you like best about the product?
Atlassian Confluence is great team collaboration tool that is providing perfect features to customize your workspace with awesome templates. It is the easiest and best way to every member of company to view and edit all important information on one place. Search functionality is perfect and it keeps you to be organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Working on the macros is little bit difficult, sometimes we face with the scrolling bugs. Plugins are bit pricey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence allowed us to combine our whole department and other ones to keep organized and it become the main key to communicate with each other. It can help you to improve the effectiveness and helping to avoid wasting time. Good integration with JIRA

The best part it is being accessible from everywhere and any device. Needs to try.
A good tool for managing content
What do you like best about the product?
Our team used this tool as a one stop for all the contents related to the customers product. We could easily modify the content of this repository for knowledge sharing purposes and as and when there was an update on pages, everyone were notified. The tool is fairly easy to use and understand. The tool is UI friendly and the macros are a life saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is very limited when it comes to customization of the data. It is difficult to format it in a fashion that we desire and the options provided by confluence itself is very limited. which is a bummer.

A good tool for data management. This can be used if you want a centralized repository for all your contents thus making sure that organisations have one pit stop for accessing all their data's..

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about confluence is it enables access to the important files across globe. Not only is it secure but its so easy to use and have a structured repository of important project documents. Best tool for a highly organized and efficient team
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about this. If pushed, I would prefer it to have excel embedded on to the confluence system
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Earlier, there was too much effort and hassle to set up a common architecture of server that can be accessed across globe. Even after that, there is always an issue of speed when physical server in a place is made to be outside the hosted country. All these issues are addressed easily by confluence

What do you like best about the product?
While Confluence on it's own is awesome, I adore it's integration with Jira. It's so seamless !
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating and using templates can sometimes be a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Group collaboration is the number one benefit. ALso, being able to socialize and visualize project status, user stories and tasks in one place is amazing!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with using the hosted service -- it's fast and easy. If you decide to host it yourself, make sure to hire a full time administrator.
