Great free collab workspace
What do you like best about the product?
Conflunace is a great workspace that allows you to keep all your docs in one place. It's easy to set up, navigate and use. It has decent visual tools, interlinking and ability to set up permission for access are a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's rather hard to customize pages, and the navigation or set up of it is very confusing at times. More than several times load time was less than ideal. While it's fairly straightforward to use, it does require training and learning, since it can be confusing at the beginning. .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence as a central source for new hire documentation, to keep track of sprints, releases and retrospectives. Our QA keeps test plans and QA results along with release dates, so we can interlink them to the sprint overview for ease of access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It could be a rocky start and may require training, but it's a great product especially if you use JIRA
Good alternative for internal documentation
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to add templates visible globally shortened the learning curve; "Like" feature, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Insufficient compatibility with MS features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge sharing and FAQ.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try using templates for meeting notes with action items, FAQ pages, etc.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a very easy-to-use interface that allows both inexperienced web developers to create web pages as well as experienced users the option of using raw HTML code for the features that are not available in the GUI. There are options for others to comment on or "like" your page. The permissions feature of the pages allow you to limit the page on a fairly granular level.
What do you dislike about the product?
The page layout options are not as flexible. It would be helpful to have more page layout options that allow for creative placement of Jpegs to liven up the page. Inherited permissions are not obvious when looking at a child page. Adding visibility of the "real" permissions at every page would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence for internal web content. It is easy to roll out content with Confluence, so user time can be better spent on other job requirements than documentation. The learning curve is fairly small with minimal instruction needed to start creating pages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your user base is mostly developers, this is a good product, because developers will spend less time on documenting and more time on developing. It is also a good product if you don't have a lot of web content staff.
Great centralized team collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to to create/edit your own pages/spaces and easily share information with team members
What do you dislike about the product?
somewhat of a learning curve to use widgets and edit pages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to easily publish and share information in the cloud internally without having to email documents or share them on a network
Confluence is a beastt
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence can hold lots of information about your company and documentation/procedures
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence can become extremely u organized and messy if the users do not stick to a plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has placed all of our documentation and business information in one place for ease of onboarding and relations with chatomers.
Reminds me of an online notebook
What do you like best about the product?
great for documenting when knowledge is needed for a team/company.
What do you dislike about the product?
can sometimes be messy or overwhelming - not organized/categorized in the best way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team documentation
Useful but basic
What do you like best about the product?
It's relatively easy to navigate and edit pages and it a good resource to keep the entire company on the same page while also segmenting team documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have all the functionality we need and is pretty rudimentary. It has a pretty good UI and a useful search tool but it's easy for things to be duplicated or lost in the pile of never-ending page creation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all documents across Customer Support/Success, Product, and Implementation under one roof. Anyone can search and access whatever document they need based on keywords rather than seeking the help of someone in another department. It allows us to be more self-sufficient and find information quickly while working in a coordinated environment.
Great product

What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about this software

Great platform for Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
We recently moved from Livelink to Confluence to store documentation for our project. While Livelink only provided functionality as good as a shared drive plus change tracking history feature, Confluence provides a ton of interactive features for the team such as like what someone has done to appreciate, ask questions on someone's document and discuss right on the website. That's what makes it cool! Everyone in my project is happy with this move.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really there is not much to not like in Confluence. You pick what features you want to use in the dashboard and move forward with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Confluence for documentation primarily. Documentation consists of hyperlinks within our intranet and other how to documents.
