Great for Meeting Notes and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to assign actions items to users within the page and visualize project status.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the most user friendly. Some of the text options are not as intuitive as other softwares.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use confluence to document meeting notes, and also to plan out projects with target completion dates. The page can be shared with other users so everyone stays updated on the status of the project. Action items can be assigned and checked off as they are completed. Great for collaboration.
Intuitive System for Finding New Resources in a large company.
What do you like best about the product?
It is an excellent system for finding answers within a large company where you are physically isolated from other departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Clunky navigation and UI can sometimes get in the way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
N/A
Good when you know how to use it
What do you like best about the product?
I like its versatility and intuitive design. There's a lot you can do -- from building pages and managing calendars to reviewing creative work and organizing workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although generally intuitive, I think you really have to get a feel for how to use it in order to really understand it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization is currently using Confluence to review most of the creative that goes into marketing production and campaign development. We're realizing it's nice to have a place where we can all see the latest updates on projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't rely on it as a way to solve problems within your organization; it can be easy to leave comments and assume your team members will see them, but sometimes they get lost in the clutter. Also, make sure all your team members know how to use it!
Great layout and keeps everything organized
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the breakdown of each tab keeps the site looking clean and organized. The customer service is quick and very responsive if there are any issues that pop up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the settings aren't on the sidebar, rather it to be on top. The mobile layout can be a bit funky when going through the site
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of the documents for the company are all on one platform where everyone has access. Everyone can collaborate as well as bookmark and privatize the tabs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As long as you keep everything organized, confluence is a great tool to keep documents organized and in one central location for everyone to view, edit, comment or like.
Confluence opinion
What do you like best about the product?
It’s a great tool in conjunction with Jira for creating and managing documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
For some reason, when I log into other components like JIRA or BitBucket, I get logged out of confluence and have to log in using a different browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to create and track software technical requirements and the those are tied to projects in Jira for complete project traceability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you understand how all the parts work together. Our implementation is very rapid and we didn't fully understand how everything works and now we have to use different browsers when using components together.
Fairly easy to use but could have more features
What do you like best about the product?
The articles have a very basic layout and are easy to create. You are also able to vote on different things to easily create prioritization. Being able to add comments and and have a conversation about the article is also very nice and an easy way to document what has happened and what needs to happen.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may just be because of how my company is using it but it's not very user friendly when trying to search for specific articles. I wish there was an easy way to get to the article that you need. It seems like you either get too many results that are impossible to comb through or you do not get enough results so you can't find what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We put implementation method articles and they are very useful when working with new customers
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This can work great as a centralized place to put all your knowledge on different topics. It can be used as a reference tool for new employees to help get them up to speed. It is also great for the long-term employee to use when you just can't remember little details.
The biggest thing that will hinder your usage and make Confluence seem useless is if you do not keep it updated. As you begin implementing Confluence make sure that you have a plan in place to get consistent updating happening. If it is not updated it will quickly get outdated and your companies usage will go down.

Single destination for all project documentation needs
What do you like best about the product?
The organisation of information on confluence is something that I really appreciate. You can put almost all of the information regarding your project over confluence and it makes it easier to update.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike really but if we could have some way of integrating java docs to confluence that would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves us a lot of time of organising project information for all types of users for our software production. From developers to Project Managers to customer care executives, all use confluence to solve their queries and update the information for each other.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it guys. Its pretty neat.
Lots of options and potential
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can combine file storage and task management in one tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Not intuitive. Requires training to fully implement
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration with my company and an outside agency
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set good guidelines and best practices internally to help with ease of use
A great tool that is often let down by a frustrating UI
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence provides a shared collaboration space which is great for sharing documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
On occasion confluence will simply go haywire when formatting and it isn't always the most intuitive to find functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence allows all our users in the business to access important documentation, namely our requirements and anything else useful for their job.
Adequate, But Not Great
What do you like best about the product?
The integration with Jira is great in terms of saving time entering information redundantly. The granular control over users and user groups is nice as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Jira integration is nice, the lack of hihg quality formatting tools that may be found in things such as Google for Work overwhelms the time savings from the integration. It would be far and away better if Jira would more readily integrate with Google for instance. Also, the organization of sites is not particularly easy to perform. In fact, just like Jira, administration of Confluence is a bit of a nightmare. The learning curve is steep, and it need not be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
General organization and documentation of internal policies and procedures. Project organization and coordination, including meeting notes and other collaborative documentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really need to have someone dedicate time to getting trained adequately.
