Confluence - a supprt agents guide

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence allows us to really get a grip on what feature we need to implement, the status of bugs, and any progress we're tracking on company projects. I like the notifications (can be set to a weekly review) and general ease of use of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new layout is harder to navigate, and the feature/status are not displayed clearly. I think improvements can be made for onboarding a new user (aka feature tour) before they get started. More options in progress would help, too!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, we are using it to track bugs and their fixes, feature requests, and any projects (for either teams or individuals). It helps keep us all accountable and above board on our goals and tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely a must for all tech support, has great potential for task management software for teams too!

Solution to Google Docs Disorganization

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is very efficient when it comes to aggregating sources, research, documentation, policy, across companies and best of all across the different teams within a company. What our previous method for aggregating documentation (Notion) lacks was for one the organization and online "filing cabinet for the different teams and the different categorization of documents/analysis. It is also more robust in being able to display analysis for the more analytical teams that would need to tie in other BI tools, graphs, charts, and etc for their documentation. Another added addition is because this is an Atlassian company, you are able to tie specific pages to Jira tickets that may be associated with the page. This increases the usability of the page and also helps the flow of navigation. It is great to have a centralized place to store all company information and documentation, without having to share a link in a slack channel anytime someone creates a new document.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though the functionality is way above that of say google docs, I do find that the creativity side of confluence could use some improving. For example, the format is a very linear type of mobility of components. Meaning that at most you can have three columns of separation, they must all be aligned, and all of your charts and graphs must also fit into this category. It would be very helpful in telling a story if there are was more variation in the types of pages that could be created. And different settings depending on whether we would prefer documentation style or a more freeform style would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that Confluence is solving is our ability to have a single source of truth for all documentation. It has helped to centralize the source for onboarding as well as limit the "telephone" problem that can occur when looking for something that may have multiple owners. It is more organized and has made our ticket making to documentation process more streamline and agile.

simple yet powerful wiki-style tool

What do you like best about the product?
If you have used any wiki-style site, Confluence is similarly simple and intuitive to use. That it connects with Jira and can show data from Jira is incredibly helpful and useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
For those who are used to Microsoft Word and/or Google Docs type solutions, the wiki formatting and style can be a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for internal documentation and communications. It's a great way to keep such things organized in a place where customers cannot accidentally be linked for it.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is used as a one center of truth for all types of definitions of metrics. It provides good options for organizing all types of documents and a lot of customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it doesn't structure things the ideal way that you want it to with it's templates and they could be a little difficult to customize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly documentation for all of our products and releases. If you need to see what went out when, Confluence can be that place where you see all the specifications that went along with it. Storing data validation and defining metrics is also very helpful when providing clear pictures of our internal data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it some patience when trying to format. You can always just copy-paste from excel and that will speed up building tables!

There were some glitches when we used this but everything got fixed quickly.

It's ok, but confusing to navigate

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it has a bunch of different features. It has a calendar feature, a document feature, a groups feature, a forum for discussion, and several others that our team does not use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how difficult I find it to navigate. I find that it is hard to find the document I want to edit. The search bar capability is lacking. It is difficult to tell which type of page I will be taken to for what shows up in the search results (whether it is a calendar, a document, or a space).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of distributed communication. We have team members in multiple places, and Confluence allows us to coordinate our schedules and budget.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talk to other people who are using Confluence so they can show you around.

I work with hundreds of clients, I use confluence to lookup a Client page and everything there is to know about them.

very slow to update a page and painful to keep the formatting
