What doesn't it do?

  • March 20, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I really like is how versatile it is as well as the features in which it handles notifications and keeping tasks on track. I used this with a customer and I was amazed at how easy it was to find things, even though they had so much content created. I also just started using this at my employer and I love how you can tag someone in a post or a meeting not and it creates a task for that person that shows up in their 'work' list.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike so far, is really something that is a plus, and that is that it seems complex and confusing at first, but once you get it...those things become valuable and obvious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration on projects, documentation of processes and common tasks, meeting notes, maintaining an accurate and up to date library of all the above mentioned.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a good spin around the block before passing judgment.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has a fantastic editor that makes it easy for anyone to create great content. There's also a plethora of add-ons (free and paid) to make it stand out ever more or allow for better organisation of that information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you start getting to the 50+ user levels it gets expensive FAST.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence for our online documentation for our Product (open to anonymous) as well as internal process and departments (login required).

Confluence -- Great for organizing and getting team insights

  • March 10, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can file your confluence documents under specific sections and make the documents really interactive.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, I find navigation between documents and sections to be a bit cumbersome. However, this aspect just takes getting used to, and then the flow makes much more sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Confluence to make our organization much better at communication. By having well-documented scopes, rationales, and concepts outlined in Confluence, all teams can align on where projects are going and why.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it! It has a bit more meat to it than Google Docs, and the ability to nest documents, create logs, etc. is super powerful!

    Computer Software

Great tool for collaboration, planning projects, and more

  • March 10, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Confluence daily for everything from receiving feedback on designs to managing my own to-do list. It's great for collaboration, and viewing and editing documents is easy. Inline comments are a great feature and allow for an easy feedback process, and you can even leave inline comments on images and files. Overall, it's a great tool for many aspects of project management (including planning, research, documentation, and collaborative development), and it integrates well with JIRA.
What do you dislike about the product?
Beyond simply viewing and editing documents, the interface isn't the most intuitive. PDFs that are included on Confluence pages often render inconsistently and with errors, and editing text formatting can be finicky and frustrating. Understanding what permissions you have in the software is extremely difficult without asking your administrator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence allows us to collaborate on a multitude of projects, from web designs to technical writing, development documentation to video scripts.

    Telecommunications

What do you like best about the product?
We use it with a lot of our offsite agents so that we can all work on the same projects and can all counsel around the same topics. Brings our group together seamlessly
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs an update from the last release. In the last couple of weeks when loading the dashboard it pauses at the blank white screen
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less conference calls, more online teamwork
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure your IT team keeps up on updating!
