If your using JIRA, you NEED confluence!
What do you like best about the product?
I love collaboration across teams & hoe it integrates seamlessly with JIRA. It truly enhances the benefits & both tools compliment each other.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind off hand. We were very pleased with the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This allowed us to keep important documentation, flow charts, processes etc. in one unified place, where anyone could access when needed. It truly saved us after the company went through massive layoffs & we had to reference how-to guides.

Project organising and using confluence pages as HTML server
Helpful documentation for any team.
What do you like best about the product?
The part I actually like best is the way the pages can be indexed and how you can link to each other. Folders in google drive and dropbox can get a little unwieldy especially if you're trying to reference one document with another.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the level of set up needed on the admin side as well as the limitations of the macros.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems we're solving is being able to get documentation in one place that we can easily send links out to maintainers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's tough to onboard people. The hardest thing is figuring out where to place pages so that it's nested properly. But once your users think google doc / word doc WYSIWYG features are the same, they can get the hang of it.
Confluence, the wiki of tomorrow
What do you like best about the product?
I loved how customizable each page is with the ability to create branches and organizational strutures, great for linking documents and pages. It is a great way to collaborate with team members
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that when you're editing at the same time as another user and your changes are lost when they save their version. Possibly notifying you when someone saves their edits would be nice

Documentation of internal systems and processes as well as information gathering and note taking. It is a great way to collaborate with team members

Sometimes the navigation and search function could be better. Also, with all knowledge bases, it's only as good as the amount of time you put into it to maintain it and keep it up to date.
