It's ok, but confusing to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it has a bunch of different features. It has a calendar feature, a document feature, a groups feature, a forum for discussion, and several others that our team does not use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how difficult I find it to navigate. I find that it is hard to find the document I want to edit. The search bar capability is lacking. It is difficult to tell which type of page I will be taken to for what shows up in the search results (whether it is a calendar, a document, or a space).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of distributed communication. We have team members in multiple places, and Confluence allows us to coordinate our schedules and budget.

Talk to other people who are using Confluence so they can show you around.

Confluence has a straightforward design with the ability to easily find pages you visited recently

Can't think of any major issues with the platform

Confluence acts as an internal wiki space, which is helpful for storing and organizing internal documentation
Great tool for building Client pages
What do you like best about the product?
I work with hundreds of clients, I use confluence to lookup a Client page and everything there is to know about them.
What do you dislike about the product?
very slow to update a page and painful to keep the formatting

Confluence really filled our need to create quick content to communicate to the different teams of our company the current state of the different projects we are working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe it's the way we structured our spaces, but sometimes it's difficult to find specific pages. There is no real place in confluence to see the hierarchy of pages and spaces.

Confluence is a useful, easy to use documentation software.
What do you like best about the product?
The page editing options is easy to use. It allows creation of readable documentation without allowing too much freedom to create inconsistent design patterns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Security can be cumbersome for sharing. I work a lot across departments and sharing documentation with users elsewhere is not always simple, especially for one time documentation use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We document reporting objects with Confluence and also document progress on enterprise projects. The tool allows us to query our database for current information. Through Gliffy, we can also incorporate design elements and definitions in the same document.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Documentation in this tool can easily get messy. Develop a quality structure before hand to ensure your are organized well. Also, use all of the features of Confluence. The ability to query SQL server for data is a huge time saver to update to date data without having to touch the same documents again and again!
History of confluence
What do you like best about the product?
I love that everything from emails to graphics is buit with confluence. To most of the public opinion we are showen that the make google and major companies and franchise create everything when its really confluence whuch created the css templates in the first place

I dont like that we dont use this much anymore.

I have not solved any business problems. We have a completly separate team who deals with that

UI of confluence is very friendly which makes it easy to use

Customization on confluence is bit complex and have many limitations

Very useful tool for centralized repository for project documents and UI is friendly which makes it easy to use.
Good software for capturing requirements
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with JIRA for managing development requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documents feel static, hard to collaborate and find old documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all of the engineering written requirements in one place, if they are using JIRA as well. It becomes difficult to use Confluence if you are using a different backlog tool, but if you are using JIRA, Confluence works well.
Easy to use, no complaints
What do you like best about the product?
That it keeps all of our company info in a way that is organized / easy to use & the collaboration tools
What do you dislike about the product?
There is now a lot of info that we have on confluence... not necessarily the tools fault though, but perhaps there should be something on it to help ensure that docs get updated every so often? I don't particularly love the interface either

A good resource for training resources and docs for the company

It's pretty helpful to keep companies organized & great for team collaboration
Okay repository-type product
What do you like best about the product?
commenting inline is well done. Being able to follow pages is also nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way spaces are organized leaves much to be desired.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able for large teams to share ideas has worked fairly well.
