Excellent Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to collaborate and share workspaces, files, etc...
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a tomcat app that can be challenging to set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration, integration with Jira
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Recommend hacing someone skilled in Linux and MySQL or Oracle set this up and configure it. Best is stand it up behind nginx and have it reverse proxy the ports and SSL if you use that.
A good way to share information
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the simplicity of creating pages to record info and track project details. The fact that it works with JIRA is a plus.

It's not always great for formatting information and text with pictures

Tracking project information and sharing knowledge

Threads are easy to follow. Very helpful to have all discussions in one place with documentation.

Hard to learn- there was a bit of a learning curve.

Great for communicating with remote workers, great for accountability

Multiple types of pages, ability to modify the page hierarchy, document editing capability

It's missing drag and drop for reordering the page hierarchy. Current method is clunky.

Document sharing across a distributed team on two coasts.
Easy to use and a must for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to share information and collaborate with teams. Easy to assign task and track how the team is performing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence is powerful and many of its features are hidden. Training is required to master confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication and asset sharing. The benefit is having everything from assets, project management and chat all rolled into one place where everything can be tracked.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easier ways to set up pages. Offer a variety of templated pages.

What do you like best about the product?
It would seem to replace OneNote. OneNote has been very cumbersome when trying to use it as a collaboration tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is just a new piece of software that i have to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OneNote is complicated when it comes to sharing and collaboration. Confluence offers a UI more like social media.
A Good way to store and share information
What do you like best about the product?
We use it as an informational - aka wiki - page. It's very easy to use and allows you to track changes between versions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some page settings are not as intuitive. It doesn't allow for too much customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it as a user guide, FAQ and an information database for our software. It's easy to maintain and keep change logs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think the old navigation menu was better than the current implementation. I think the minimalist design isn't too easy to understand.

Easy to adopt and navigate across documents

Embedding of documents could be a problem with some file types

Keeping all documentation, feeds and reports in single place
The Wiki all in one stop
What do you like best about the product?
I like the purpose of having a wiki as a playbook for many things in the company. Love the editing part, as posts can be edited in so many ways that fit different needs in the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search option. It is hard to find the things you are actually looking for. Many times you have to stumble across the search option and it could be more user-friendly.

Having a playbook in the company of how things are, were and are going to be

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence can be used widely for a different array of communication. It's interoperability among remote users makes it highly effective for larger teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not so easy to learn, due to it's scale. I'm using it regularly, but don't know if I'm only touching the tip of the iceberg. Where is the training/tutorials?
