- Ease of editing and linking to documents
What do you dislike about the product?

- Navigation is slightly confusing
- Navigation is slightly confusing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All internal company & project documentation has been moved to Confluence. Sharing information and centralizing documentation has become much easier.
Tool for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to handle many people commenting on one item without conflict. We think it will help us speed up new changes and collaborate on changes to make them happen quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems unofficial and too trendy, I don't know if it has stuck. People don't seem to have really grabbed it and begun to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long cycle time for business document review. Previous to this we have officially released items through design processes as if they were engineering drawings.
Not as user friendly as it could be
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are dedicated spaces for projects and many people can upload many different types of materials to the space. Version controls are great too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Why are there no folders!?!? I don’t understand why I create pages to keep other pages together. I really hate that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Requirements documents and version controls
New Confluence user, tentatively impressed
What do you like best about the product?
We've just started using Confluence to store and share information, and I like it a lot so far. It's a nice, easy-to-use interface, and it has a lot of functionality that I didn't realize it had when I first started using it. It allows for easy collaboration for several types of things, and I appreciate the version control abilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real issue I have with Confluence is that it hasn't been easy for me to figure out what else it can do. Some of the features seem kind of "hidden."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Confluence to collaborate on and share information The current benefit is that we're using it to keep up to date and share the translation availability of our product, which has been very internally valuable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend giving Confluence a try, and familiarizing yourself with the capabilities as you do, because it's actually capable of more than is immediately obvious.
Tool for sharing information, tracking and milestones across organization
What do you like best about the product?
Allows for tracking and collaboration across organization. Great way to revision control and dissemination information, share documents for editing, tracking product development and milestones. It has become the central repository of our milestone marker documents as well as to provide inputs into product (and product marketing) documentation
What do you dislike about the product?
All changes are committed right away and there is no draft or sandbox mode to help organize UI/look before publishing. Should be able to customize the feed to only most relevant people/spaces. File attached to spaces are not always obvious and sometimes hidden. Need some method of encouraging user participation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information is often lost or buried in a mass of emails, having confluence allows a gradual building of knowledge base over time. The information is useful to a variety of people without having to be specifically targeted.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try several versions and determine one you like, multiple UI changes over versions.
Great tool to share content with teams
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of integration with JIRA and pull stuff into confluence pages
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the pages are difficult to administer in terms of sharing credentials or delegating creds while some are away
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing content across development teams. Huge benefit of integrating with JIRA to pull up specific issues.
Professional Documentation System
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup and also affordable for small teams this piece of software helps software developers to get everything documented.
WYSIWYG is working perfectly and team collaboration will help you to work on your documents in parallel.

What do you dislike about the product?
Growing businesses will see increases in price very rapidly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Complete business documentation process is solved with Confluence
- Scrum teams are working with seperate spaces for their projects
- Scrum teams are working with seperate spaces for their projects
Confluence for Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is great for collaboration and having a central location for you notes, documentation and projects. I like how I can "watch" a page and be notified of changes. I like the ability to be able to restore previous page versions as well as seeing who made revisions and when.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the one thing I like least, is that many of the macros are "add-ons". Users may not be aware which of those macros have expired until they go to use them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having 1 spot for all to collaborate and 1 knowledge bank. This also works well for remote users. The auto-timing stamping on the pages of when updates are done makes it easy to find out when the page was last updated and no worry to reply on users to timestamp.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When using Confluence, set standard practices within your company. It is easy to find old attachments and old pages. If you use JIRA, then having Confluence Team Collaboration is a good match.
Wiki for Jira
What do you like best about the product?
As in Jira, easy to make nicely formatted documentation that links easily to Jira stories, with pictures and images, file attachments with no hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
You get out of it what you put into it. Organization can get messy if unmaintained. This is not a product problem, but the product doesn't really help in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication and documentation of development designs and methodology/thinking. Recording of design decisions and reasons/context behind the decisions.
Great wiki
What do you like best about the product?
We use Confluence for our wiki, it's very easy to edit and publish reviews. Security is decent as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slight learning curve, I wish you could make tables easier. For example, we have to make a registration key list for our IT department and the editor is kind of wonky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiki. Problem-solving in IT with the solutions as well as procedures for installing software and setting up new computers.
