Our team’s knowledge hub that actually gets used

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence gives us one place where specs, runbooks, meeting notes, and onboarding live and people actually find them. The page tree + search works well, and the templates (PRD, postmortem, decision log) make it quick to start. I love the little quality‑of‑life bits: @mentions to nudge owners, inline code blocks, task lists with due dates, and the ability to turn a page into a lightweight project doc in minutes. The Jira integration is the kicker: I can drop an issue/filter URL and it renders beautifully, pull a change log or status report with JQL, and even create issues from highlighted text during a grooming session. It keeps docs and execution in sync without copy‑pasting screenshots. I also appreciate page history and inline comments for reviews great for audits and “who changed what” moments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editor still has quirks. Tables can be fiddly (merging/splitting cells sometimes messes up spacing), and copy‑pasting from Google Docs or Notion brings odd formatting you have to clean up. Permissions are powerful but easy to over‑complicate new spaces inherit weirdly if you’re not careful, which can confuse who can see what. Search occasionally surfaces older pages above newer “canonical” ones unless you archive aggressively. Large attachments (design PDFs, datasets) bloat spaces fast, and the mobile app is fine for reading but not great for editing structured docs. Lastly, draw.io/diagram apps are excellent but can feel heavy on slow connections
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence gives us a single, living source of truth. Before, specs and runbooks were scattered across Docs and Slack threads; people kept asking for “the latest link.” Now the page tree, labels, and search make stuff findable, and page history keeps an audit trail for reviews. The Jira integration reduces context switching . we create issues from text, embed filters/charts, and the link back to the page keeps work and docs in sync. Onboarding is smoother because new folks get one space with PRDs, decisions, and runbooks instead of a folder maze. Stakeholders outside engineering finally have a clear window into status without needing Jira access. Overall it cuts repeat questions, speeds reviews, and keeps teams aligned.

Great for team collaboration and documentation

  • July 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence makes it easy to centralize documentation and collaborate across teams in real time. Its integration with Jira and other Atlassian tools boosts productivity, and the template system helps standardize documentation. The interface is clean and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search functionality can be inconsistent with large spaces, and permission management gets confusing for bigger teams. It also feels sluggish at times, especially with many macros on a page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence solves the problem of scattered or siloed knowledge within teams by providing a centralized, organized space for documentation, meeting notes, project planning, and collaboration. It reduces dependency on email and chat for information sharing, ensures everyone has access to the latest updates, and improves onboarding for new team members. This has made our workflows more efficient and transparent.

What do you like best about the product?
I have used confluence for 5 years and like how you can arrange and use it as part of your KB page and publish articles that would help you determine the needed details and data fast.

It also provide easy access to you needed links that would be synced or tagged on the same article.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much as it was a perfect fit on what we needed to use it for. It was the unanimous voted tool that our team havw agreed on when we checked our evaluation on what can be used as our KB base tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is giving us quick access to our KB articles and navigate with ease as our office needs fast paced tools that can be navigated on an efficiet matter and confluence gave that capability for us.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use and user friendliness
Seamless integrations with JIRA, Trello and other tools
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't seen or explored options of AI Summaries, AI tagging of and AI search. Not sure if they have already provided such features but if not they should also provide its support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentations, Requirements, SRS, Project Wikis and other such documentations are very easy to maintain via confluence. Searching base upon contents and integrations with Standard industry tools like JIRA or Trello is very good.

The All-in-One Team Workspace: A Confluence Review

  • July 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Based on my background, what I like best about Confluence is its ability to create a single, centralized source of truth for all of a company's knowledge and documentation.

Given my experience in roles spanning MIS, financial analysis, and HR, I've seen how critical information can get scattered across different departments and systems. A tool like Confluence would be invaluable for consolidating all of this diverse information. The ability to create standardized templates and document administrative procedures in one accessible place directly aligns with my focus on driving organizational efficiency through data analysis and streamlined processes. It turns reporting and analysis from a search-and-find mission into a collaborative and organized process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Based on my experience, while Confluence is incredibly powerful for centralizing information, its biggest potential downside is its complexity, which can hinder user adoption and efficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Based on my professional experience, Confluence solves several critical business problems, and the solutions directly benefit my work in driving efficiency and data-driven analysis. Here’s a breakdown of the problems it solves and how that benefits me:

Problem: In any company, crucial data is often scattered across different departments. Financials are with one team, sales reports with another, and HR procedures are stored elsewhere. This makes gathering information for comprehensive analysis incredibly time-consuming.

How it benefits me: Confluence breaks down these silos by creating a single, centralized repository. In my work, where I've analyzed everything from sales data across 750 SKUs to HR functions for over 300 employees, having one place to find and share information is a massive advantage. It allows me to spend less time hunting for data and more time performing actual financial analysis and generating insights.

Great tool for documenting , Knowledge sharing sessions(KSS), Demo purposes and many more.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is great for its simplicity , I've used as a software engineer for understanding project requirements . It is very much user friendly and helps to minimize the overall setup time required for some similar documentation tools. Being project manager also , it is very easier to make documentation regarding projects like requirements, validations, data integrity and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downside or not quite good about confluence is its search functionality . Search functionality is not that engaging and great while finding words , phrases on the document. Also there could be more control on data redundancy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main problems confluence solves in the following field.
- Helps to better understand project requirements (example : what feature should be there exactly, how many input field should be there for form data etc ) for software engineers.
-Helps to maintain a project great documentation and helps in future updates as well.
- Helps to maintain daily Standup meetings and Code Review meeting efficiently.

Great for collaboration, but has room to improve.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Confluence is how effortlessly it brings teams together when it comes to organizing and sharing information. It’s super easy to create clean, structured pages, and I appreciate how everything is searchable—no more digging through emails or folders to find what I need. The integration with tools like Jira also makes tracking project updates a breeze. It genuinely helps keep everyone on the same page, especially in fast-moving projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Confluence is that the editing experience can sometimes feel a bit clunky, especially when multiple people are working on the same page. There are occasional formatting glitches, and some basic layout options take more steps than expected. Also, the permission settings can be a little confusing at times—it takes a bit of trial and error to get them just right. That said, it’s still a solid tool overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For IT purposes, it’s especially helpful in documenting systems, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and integrating with tools like Jira for better workflow tracking
