Solid wiki for team communication
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use editor, with great WYSIWYG capabilities and a markup mode for advanced users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Plugin management can be painful, and you can be stuck on older versions while waiting for plugins to be updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were hoping to improve communication and create a repository of processes and knowledge. This has been achieved with Confluence.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Choose plugins that are regularly updated.
Confluence - not elegant, but necessary
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence helps fulfill a need for one central place to keep technical documents and company wiki articles. It integrates with a variety of tools like Sketch, Balsamiq, and Gliffy which makes workflow easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be difficult to navigate, with a bit of a learning curve for those unfamiliar with Atlassian's software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence provides a central place to document technical requirements, and be that place where the "single source of truth" is written up for designers, developers, and stakeholders to all view.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence integrates well with other Atlassian products like Jira, so it's the natural choice for documentation for teams already using Jira. Confluence can be a little clunky to use, but Atlassian is constantly working to improve the software.
Good platform for sharing thoughts and comments
What do you like best about the product?
i like the way the tool is organized - the ability to share notes, links and comment on them in a nested way. Also the feature of email integration is good as everyone gets an email when anyone comments or shares something - be it link or comment
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing so far. may be a chat like option would be good but not really needed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the main use of confluence is to share ideas and comments on different products or releases or track defects within the company,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you are not using confluence, I suggest you to use it as it provides good team collaboration and a platform to share comments / links or other data which otherwise sharing thru emails and chat is tedious.
Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence offers an effective way to create and share content, and collaborate with your teams on projects. With approx. 3 months of Confluence experience, I found it very easy to learn and organize page data! My top feature is having page edits notify your team for the latest updates - this way, we can stay current and modify plans and functional requirements as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I prefer full control over my content - and without being an admin, you're unable to delete pages errors or duplicates easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Receiving email with constant edits and finding the most up to date content can be tedious. But with Confluence, you can get notified on the latest update so your team knows they have the latest version of a project plan - love this!
Great integrated experience for JIRA users
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that it is integrated into the JIRA family of products since cross reference to projects, stories and other issues is streamlined. Also very easy to share when the whole company already has JIRA.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recent redesign is a bit harder to get used to coming from the original. When the new UI was released each area of the product had a mandatory click-through tutorial on the new interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it today as a primary way of storing procedures and internal wiki information for various departments within our company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend this for any JIRA user and I have to say the mobile apps are great. They recently updated both of their apps and they are great resources while away from your systems.
Good Experience with Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how you have the ability to make 'child pages' off of other pages. It helps organize things and build a roadmap between different parts of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how clunky it can be to insert equations and images, among other things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed somewhere to work together as a team and all edit a single document and Confluence really helped with that.
Good project management tool, but amazing collaborative documentation tool.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to do collaboration across multiple teams along with setting granular permissions is a life saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get kind of pricey when you start getting above say 25 users in my person opinion, but it still is worth the price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
collaborative documentation writing, feature discussions and requirements, and so much more.

Nothing so far. The application is a great fit and have good integration capabilities with JIRA
