Good for documentation, but search is limited
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and create new pages. Editing and granting access is simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Without control over where things are put and who should create things where, it quickly becomes a mess and hard to find content.

Easy to share documentation

What do you like best about the product?
The fact the entire team can remain up-to-date on developments within each department. It helps there's one integrated project management tool we all have access to, and we can all adjust ourselves. There's an integration with JIRA, in which we assign tasks to other team members or ourselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Layout-wise, there's not so much you can change or vary according to your own wishes or preferences.
- Notifications don't always seem to work very well; resulting in an overflow of your inbox, because you receive notifications of changes made by all team members.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Project management: we've set up a template for each and every project, so it can easily be re-used and scanned or examined by other team members.
- Internal communication has improved due to the fact all team members can access the files shared on the platform.

not much, maybe a bit more online guides on how to start using Confluence

The best thing is that it allows easy sharing of information between various teams;

With Confluence we do informaton sharing between various teams.

Full integration with Jira with great free macros (like roadmaps and burn down charts).

More layout options for pages, currently the basic editor is too basic.

Take the time to set up a citation policy and management. Make sure your authors know how to utilize all the confluence tools.

Confluence is incredibly easy to use for anything you need when it comes to collaborating on business-related content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the server version the costs can ramp up rather quickly.

We use Confluence for displaying and sharing automated dashboards. It has allowed us to ensure that we're all working off of the same information.

Confluence keeps all the content and meeting documents and timelines in one place.

There is a decent sized learning curve to use the product.

We use Confluence to manage a massive rebuilding project at our company. It has become the source of truth for all things relating to this project.

It takes commitment from the top to implement but is well worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how seamless it is to use it with JIRA. I don't have to discuss an issue separately on email or look up a related document and then collate with the issue. I also like how multiple ppl could be accessing at the same time and will not be locked out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that search feature was better. If I dont remember the particular issue and am searching by keyword, I am still looking for a needle in a haystack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is excellent for tracking issues and having all discussion and documentation available at your fingertips.

I would strongly recommend it if you are already using JIRA.

The collaboration is the best part. It's everything you want from a Wiki.

I find some of the navigation tricky. For example: adding a new page always trips up my new team members and it just doesn't feel intuitive.I

I run a team of program managers who all execute on each others projects. It's so nice to have a common space to organize each of our training events where we can all easily stay on track.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is particularly good for those who have any experience building out websites. The learning curve is minimal.
