Confluence Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact this software organizes your powerful repository of information, opinions, and knowledge to help you answer questions, create how-to docs, and possibly identify the next big thing. We were having issues with collaborating with multiple remote employees, and confluence has been a godsend.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documents can be tricky to find if they are on a specific users page, this can be worked around easily though. Also, Page editor is pretty basic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has become our go-to standard for all technical documentation, requirements collaboration, user instructions, training tutorials, etc. for our team. It allows to keep documentation in a cloud and every team members have access to increase productivity of our team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep up the good work!
Review of Confluence Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence Cloud based application is very easy to use. The mobile application is very intuitive as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this time. However, I'm relatively new to using the cloud mobile version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm primarily using the cloud version for development purposes only. Although, I've used previous versions of Confluence Wiki from 2011 - 2014 for software development and process management.
Confluence - very nice collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Conluence has been the best tool for agile project management I have used. It comes handy when it comes to project documentation - create, collaborate, organize, and review documents within a team and track them, so all project parties are up to date with latest documentation and has a point of entry to start with. Collaboration enabled though all involved parties within a project, from defining project architecture and design (documentation) that can later on be re-user for development and further for testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is a little bit tricky - every time you add a person to your headcount, you not pay more per user..... until certain threshold is met. After that, the price shoots up pretty fast and might quickly double.
Some features feel outdated, especially concerning user interface, e.g. calendar. Also, adding a document and versioning it is a little bit confusing and not very straight forward.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While it easily integrates with Jira (same parent company), it makes perfect solution for whole project management cycle, although I have come across for it to be used mainly in agile methodology oriented projects, enabling managers to review and share feedback in documents themselves. Notice the benefit if the company already using Jira for its issue tracking on projects - in this case Confluence is added for free. Small to mid-size businesses, especially those who don't need Jira for their work, however, might prefer competing solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good product to use in smaller and mid size companies for project collaboration and agile projects
Very good for company intranet
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a very powerful tool for recording information to be shared with the entire company.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new UI is much better, but confluence can still be difficult to navigate. It is easy to get lost sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information sharing / company intranet
Confluence is essential for documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I like how each team has the chance to organize their internal documentation as they consider best. They are connected to all the Attlassian suite which makes it all very convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The design could improve, they have worked on it but the UI in general is quite ugly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
•Documentation for processes.
•Specs.
•Conversations in regards to long projects.

Look into the macros to make the most of the product.
All info in one place
What do you like best about the product?
the fact that you get all the info you need in one tab, without having to go back and forth all the time. Also, the ability to link it with your mail provider and get updates on topics you're interested in.
What do you dislike about the product?
the fact that people's comments are a bit hard to follow. Would love if we could personalize each group/topic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team meetings and team processes. We use it to get updates on tech. tickets for our team.
Great for documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I like that confluence works well for documenting company policy and SOPs
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Atlassian is fragmented between Jira confluence and hipchat. It can make collaboration between all programs kind of tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a need to document operation procedures within the company and Confluence is a great product for that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd suggest using confluence for SOP documentation.
Great tool for collaboration on documents!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how you can sync it with Drive and edit documents right there in Confluence! I also like the commenting features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm still learning about how it works since I'm fairly new, but no dislikes so far!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration, document sharing
Easy Editing and Collaborating Platform
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Confluence is that you can create and edit pages easily with drag and drop capabilities when it comes to images, files and tables. You also have the option to export pages as PDF or Word documents which is great if you need to keep an offline copy of a page. The search capabilities are great and you also have the ability to tag people in the comments of a page as well as set notifications so you know whenever a change to a page has been made. Confluence also allows you to insert widgets such as RSS feeds and customize the look and feel to your organization's brand theme. You can also import a Word document and have it automatically create a page, which is useful. The ability to view revision history is helpful and the auto table of contents is a feature that I like alot.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Confluence is that sometimes formatting isn't retained when copying/pasting from a Microsoft Word document; otherwise, integration with Microsoft Word is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem we are trying to solve with Confluence is a place where our team can upload and save documents that are specific to our team as well as have good revision and control history. Having a good search ability is one of the benefits we realized while using Confluence. It is a great alternative to Wikis with a much friendly user interface.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Setup permissions correctly. User training and adoption is easy with very minimal effort required to get end users up and running. The web interface is pretty self explanatory.
Great place to start a Knowledge Base
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of moving from page to page. The search logic makes it easy for me to find documents that I need. Since our company has been building these pages for years, there's a whole lot of data there. You can build a pretty good library of documents and pages with an ease of a click.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much that I dislike about this. One minor thing would be if the page would save automatically after 5 minutes or so. A page has timed out before and all my progress has been lost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a located place for all products and for all teams. It's important for us to organize our documents since we split the team across two different locations and it makes it a lot easier for us to share this data.
