Great for Documentation, Format Could Use Some Work
What do you like best about the product?
I love how there are different 'spaces' which our company uses per department. Within those spaces each team has different areas/topics within the 'pages'. It is great for documentation for on boarding or for someone whose been with your company but may need a refresher.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the layout & format could use some work. It is sometimes hard to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the issue of individuals needing to take the time out of their work day to explain something to another or write up instructions, etc. All information anyone needs lives in confluence.
Atlassian does some things very well, but it fails spectacularly in obscure ways
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Confluence integrates very closely with stash and JIRA. Its indexing is superb; it is very straightforward to find and reference other pages, links, documents, tickets, and repositories. Their editor is OK.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pages barf when one puts files that are too large, for some reason. LaTeX inline plugin works or fails catastrophically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence provides an easy way to publish work, and collaborate with others.
Confluence was my favorite
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has great collaboration features. It combines the ability to create dynamic documents with the ease of being social and tagging co-workers. You can create tasks that are easy to track and follow up on.
I was an evangelist for this tool and often worked to get more of my peers onboard and using it to it's full extent.

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike. If anything I would like it if it were a little easier to embed pictures or videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used confluence for project management, user acceptance testing, bug and enhancement request tracking. It is an excellent tool.
Great experience!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and create documents as a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is confusing when you edit things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves business needs by having everything all in once place for the team. We all can add items and adjust documents as needed.
A great tool for collabration

Effective Team collaboration.
We store document and share/update within a team.
Confluence helps me and my colleagues organize our different projects that are being developed in parallel

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is highly recommended to use for all companies . Specially if you have other Atlassian's product already in use. They integrates really well.
It's okay but not fun.
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to store all of our information in a centralized space where we can control permissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how the editing works. I wish it worked more like Google Docs where you can edit offline easily. It also duplicates some functions of Jira, like tasks. We prefer to keep more of our discussions, task lists, and comments in Jira.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used it to store vital information for each project. It holds things like what plugins were bought on what accounts for what sites. We also use it to track internal equipment use.
Great documentation tool - especially when you already use Jira
What do you like best about the product?
I like how well Confluence integrates with Jira. When I create pages in Confluence I can easily add links to issues in Jira and add reports pulling issues directly from a Jira filter. This helps connect my documentation to individual Jira issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluences pages have some limitations. For example, I cannot embed videos. This is something that I'd really like to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need a place to document releases, features, and product data and tie the documentation back to issues and releases in Jira. I need my documentation to be in a place that encourages commenting from coworkers. Confluence allows me to do all of this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you already use Jira, confluence is a great addition!
Too much room for misalignment
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent for team documentation and sharing ideas
What do you dislike about the product?
Everyone uses different formatting
The permissions are too restricitve in some case, too loose in others

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing remote teams/meetings
Confluence, the non perfect way to manage knowledge
What do you like best about the product?
1/ Unlike wikimedia base solutions, Confluence has reasonable WYSIWYG editor. making it much more accessible for users.
2/ Ability to create spaces, which are areas for specific teams, products or use cases (such as help center)
3/ great JIRA integration.

What do you dislike about the product?
1/ If you are used to google docs, inline editing, the confluence model in which you need to "edit" the doc before you can actually edit will drive you crazy.
2/ the inline comments are terrible, which hurts collaboration. Mostly because when you make inline comments, you cannot see them or reply to them if you are in Edit mode. See #1 above :-)
