Confluence rocks
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence allows our team and company to collaborate effectively. Its simple to use and improves our productivity. I feel this is the best product out in the market today for its design, simplicity and cost. There is no need to install any software as its all browser-based.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of any dislikes. Every product has its own pros and cons and so any dislike is just lack of understanding of its feature or perhaps not applicable/serving the purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teams are dispersed all over the world and in different timezones. Its important that everyone is able to work together with a common set of tools without have to learn anything new. Confluence strives the purpose.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend Confluence over other collaboration products out there. Productivity will improve by leaps and bounds. The cost is definitely not high compared to other products out there.

I like what it serves as a function. It helps the team collaborate more efficiently.

I don't like the appearance of it. When I first started using it, it was a little confusing

The benefits are having people together in one place online even when people are from out of state.
Confluence - somewhat great and somewhat not so good
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is easy to use as in creating spaces, pages, index and such. It has multiple gadgets that help enhance the usability. Concurrent editing - couple of people can edit the same page and see live what the others are doing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search in Confluence needs a major make-over. It´s often hard to find what you are looking. My way around it is to use a preface, for example all process pages have "Process:" at the beginning of the title. The editor is horrible, hard to use. For example if you have different fonts and delete (go back) then the formatting gets all out of whack. I´m disappointed that the Widget Connector macro has not been updated, now that flash is going away...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting our processes, Wiki, known errors db, meeting notes and assigned tasks lists (@mention).

Take a good look at the search and see if it fulfills your requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
I find that it is easy to use, customize and edit. We were really able to streamline a lot of processes for our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a general user, there isn't anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to streamline internal communication, client communication, training and our review processes.
good for big projects
What do you like best about the product?
Great for keeping big teams on the same page and individuals with their assigned tasks. With big projects it's really easy to lose details, and having the email threads visible in the interface so everybody can see the questions and answers is really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the most intuitive interface when sorting through projects with multiple teams involved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for Agile development sprint tracking. It's good for keeping all tasks visible to the team. as well as keeping track of project stages, and showing everybody who owns issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is great for making sure everything related to a project gets tracked. The interface can be a bit cumbersome at times when a lot of email threads get going on one particular topic/story/module, but the search functionality is solid. The web interface also makes it very portable.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is like an internal wiki. It has a list of pages and archives from which I learn a lot. I dont have to depend on any one for my knowledge since I get lot of questions answered at one place.

The UI can be improved and made interactive. It looks a bit less attractive and search results can be improved

Why Confluence?
What do you like best about the product?
When I was in a temp position we used confluence for our team profiles, how to guides and most importantly our program calendars.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, I dont really have anything to compare it to but I loved working with confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No "problems" are being solved we are just using this to basically bookmark important things for us and our department.

Confluence is an easy to use way to share documents, notes, information amongst colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
It did take a bit of time to get used to the user interface but it is now quite understandable.

Internal communications amongst teams.

So so easy to create a page with rich formatting, tons of macros to use, integrated with Jira and HipChat

Sometimes their formatting gets a little screwy when copying and pasting info, especially info formatted with bullets
