Great for onboarding process
What do you like best about the product?
With Confluence it becomes very easy to onboard new colleagues and guarantee them a smooth start in your company. Besides, it works very well for us in sharing guidelines on procedures with the rest of the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Turning of notifications by email is not the most straightforward, and sometimes results in a large amount of messages when colleagues make changes in a particular document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The onboarding process is very clear for everyone. You get an easy overview of important guidelines and documents.

What do you like best about the product?
At first I wasn't totally sold on Confluence, but now I am totally converted. It's ideal for the purpose it's set to help with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not much. It's pretty intuitive and easy to use. I easily use it and have setup entire sections on my own without any training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication and file sharing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it - it'll be easy to ascertain if it is right for you via researching the platform. There won't be any surprises.
Clunky cloud-based software for file sharing/team spaces
What do you like best about the product?
Allows you to have multiple projects/multiple team spaces to house content and information. Decent space for project management and storing background information/notes, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very difficult to find items and clunky to upload information. For example, takes PPTs and converts them to a pretty ugly, almost unreadable format. Other platforms, like Microsoft OneDrive, prove to be a better solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One place to store all kinds of documents, share information across teams, and house data on separate projects -- all in one spot. Although it works for this case, items are hard to find and it's difficult to navigate. Recommend a different solution, like Microsoft OneDrive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pretty clunky software for team collaboration and document storage. Would recommend going with a different solution.
Exceptional Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Confluence and JIRA link together so that you can create to do's in JIRA easily from Confluence. I also like that it's easy to create pages, duplicate page trees and copy of spaces. The tools and templates make it even easier to keep organized and allow each space and page to be uniform within Confluence. The permissions are also easy to use and that helps alot!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside that I've come across is the inability to work on the pages at the same time as other users. There is one other problem that Confluence has had a ticket in for since I've started using confluence (about 3 years ago) and it's the ability to inbed google spreadsheets into a page so that it shows the entire sheet as opposed to a link to that sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence to store research as well as share important documents and documentation. It works especially well for technology projects in our company because you can easily create a new version with updates and link any team member you need to notify of the updates.

If you are looking for a place to collaborate and store documents Confluence is great and easy to use!
