What do you like best about the product?
I like that is is simple to use and can be used to link things from different teams. It makes finding things easier and you don't have to waste time going through the local hard drives. It integrates well with Jira and is a good collaborative tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The general design and format is slightly outdated and can be brought to 2017 but not a huge con.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is used as a collaborative tool to keep track of documents and manuals. it makes cross team co-ordination easy and is simple to use.

Confluence through the cloud is a slow, painful experience.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to organize the various sections and use it as a wiki is great. I like being able to easily link tasks and confluence pages. Seems to be able to handle just about any size attachments without too much trouble.
What do you dislike about the product?
Response times (between click and anything actually happening) is terrible to the point of being unusable. When we were initially testing it out to use with our company, sometimes the lag time between clicking and going to a different page was upwards of a minute. Completely unacceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None. We decided not to use it and went with a different 3rd party software.

Great collaboration tool

  • October 30, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of the interface when creating spaces and pages. I really like that I can make it look like my organization or team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be clunky sometimes when you have a lot of information on a page. I really don't like that you have to use tags or your search will be extremely difficult and you won't find what you're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has made it easier for my organization to collaborate and share information in a much easier fashion than we were previously. It's easy to search (if you have the right tags) which greatly increases the ability to share across departments.

Confluence Review

  • October 30, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of navigating through folders, editing pages, attaching artifacts, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to make updates to attachments without having to download, update, and upload the newest version each time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps reduce duplicating work efforts because people are able to collaborate more easily. Also, it's easier to have collections of work items in different folders that are accessible to all. If you need to limit some users, there is easy capability for security purposes.

Confluence- Project's Wikipedia

  • October 30, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence portal is very handy for managing all the project related details, to do steps and keeping track of documents.
As it is linked with chatting tool, it is very easy to contact the author of the concerned document.
It also provides lot of options and functionality to edit the documents. If you want to keep following the document you can be watcher on it and whenever any changes happen to that document you will be notified by mail.
You can also see the list of people in your organization and ask question on public platform and get votes.
You can also follow similar kind of topics and get all the updates related to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I said confluence provides lot of functionality, so some items it is confusing. Though I am using it for last 1 year, there are many functionalities which I don't use at all.
I think, little more simplistic GUI will be add-on to confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a team player, we need to work on different task, so referring documents on Confluence is very efficient way to learn and share knowledge.
Even When we have to groom new members, we just provide them links for confluence and rest is done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is project Wikipedia, so just use it and it will make you work easy.
Sharing and referring documents is click away.

Great way to build an information hub

  • October 27, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Confluence like a wiki space. Confluence is great for building an entire searchable hub for information. The macros are really helpful, and they're easy to set up with the information that Confluence provides.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the collaboration that Google Docs supports, where users can edit documents or add information to spreadsheets in real-time. I just saw that they launched a collaborative editing feature, so I'm planning on looking into that feature and learning more about their improved collaboration functionality!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was involved in setting up a wiki space for my team. It's been a great resource for team collaboration--team members share information on different pages, and that information is well-organized and searchable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I like the collaboration that Google Docs supports, but Confluence is great for building an entire searchable hub for information.
