Clunky sidebar table of contents menu using what appears to be html frames.

Seems to run quite fast, making edits fairly painless.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the plug ins used with Confluence that make linking page information easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a particular fan of the generic look. We use a plug in to avoid this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence to gather and document Confluence. We've seen quicker turn around time with our tickets.

I love that Confluence organizes all of our documentation, making it easy to share across teams.

It’s a bit difficult to learn how to format documents.

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity of the web GUI. It is simple, elegant yet powerful
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike. Still new to it so will have to test it quite a bit before I can find any flaws.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Almost every procedure is documented for suture use, meetings are planned and shared among teams and the integration with Jira Service Desk is awesome
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you work in a team, its the best thing out there!

What do you like best about the product?
It's an OK product that can do a few good functional things as a collaboration platform, but it falls short on the administration side.
What do you dislike about the product?
The install and administration of Confluence is fairly complex and hard to navigate. Getting this set how and tailored to your environment is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It works pretty well as a collaboration platform, but there are a lot of competitors that do things differently and sometimes better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Much better than the old versions, but still has a long way to go with making it simpler to use.

What do you like best about the product?
well it's a 'common' and 'most used' platform apparently
What do you dislike about the product?
it's really hard to find things within. I tried to upload common files and documentation in one place but apparently, I'm supposed to do it in some other spots within the platform which I can seem to easily navigate and find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was more for the developers one of the partner agencies we were collaborating with. We got put on it to provide updates and documentation as we are handling one of the modules. It's supposed to be a view-for-all platform with a high level of transparency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Unless you have someone guide or help you... it will get messy and confusing if each user doesn't log or put things in the right places.

What do you like best about the product?
We also use JIRA as our software development life cycle tool (both Confluence & JIRA are Atlassian products), which allows you to easily create JIRA issues from Confluence documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if as a site administrator you could undo restricted pages created by users. I am not sure the best way to approach this, but if/when people leave an organization and they have created restricted pages, there is no way to access those unless that user has granted those rights to you specifically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence for checklists, templates, documentation and a Wiki.

Has duplicative features to other services like Google Docs.

Maintain the company wiki. Easy than our home grown solution
