Great Wiki to integrate with JIRA
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence integrates very well with JIRA and our projects. We keep confluence as the central repository for all our processes and are able to break up projects into separate spaces with their own permissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very intuitive and can take a little time for new users to get up to speed. Integrations are not well supported and many are paid. I wish it supported more built-in text renderers, like markup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This brought all our information and processes into one place in a sane way and integrates with our JIRA projects.
Complete deal for any project related stuff!!
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence offers many things under one roof life everything required for Software development lifecycle. The project management, knowledge sharing platform, review platform, individual activity tracking or project or team activity as well. All at one place. The best part is that it is modulated like you can choose every feature to enable or disable and adjust pricing accordingly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model is a bit more for short headcount package. If you want to add some custom add-on in their platform. It is hard and not well documented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project/Team management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look for all features offered by Confluence and what you already have and will be useful for you in long run. Confluence has many new features like integrated ticket platform with project management tool which can really boost managers efforts.
One of the best tools for cataloging requirements
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence works great in an Agile environment. Its a great place to share the user stories. Teams can create function specific pages and spaces with various access rights to the team members.
Its a great tool for a Business analyst as they can put down the requirements on the pages corresponding to the function and all team members can comment on those if required.

What do you dislike about the product?
Its integration with outlook emails will be a great plus point which is currently unavailable. Because of this, many team members who work on VPN, or are outside network are not visible on Confluence or cannot be given access.
Also, the sync and integration with Jira could be made more streamlined. Sometimes the members

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We worked in Collating the requirements and user stories with Confluence as the teams were geographically very spread out. This helps in bringing everyone on the same page much faster than conference calls and helps in better understanding.
Central Repository for everything
What do you like best about the product?
I like that is is simple to use and can be used to link things from different teams. It makes finding things easier and you don't have to waste time going through the local hard drives. It integrates well with Jira and is a good collaborative tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The general design and format is slightly outdated and can be brought to 2017 but not a huge con.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is used as a collaborative tool to keep track of documents and manuals. it makes cross team co-ordination easy and is simple to use.
Confluence through the cloud is a slow, painful experience.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to organize the various sections and use it as a wiki is great. I like being able to easily link tasks and confluence pages. Seems to be able to handle just about any size attachments without too much trouble.
What do you dislike about the product?
Response times (between click and anything actually happening) is terrible to the point of being unusable. When we were initially testing it out to use with our company, sometimes the lag time between clicking and going to a different page was upwards of a minute. Completely unacceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None. We decided not to use it and went with a different 3rd party software.

I like the flexibility of the interface when creating spaces and pages. I really like that I can make it look like my organization or team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be clunky sometimes when you have a lot of information on a page. I really don't like that you have to use tags or your search will be extremely difficult and you won't find what you're looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has made it easier for my organization to collaborate and share information in a much easier fashion than we were previously. It's easy to search (if you have the right tags) which greatly increases the ability to share across departments.

The ease of navigating through folders, editing pages, attaching artifacts, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to make updates to attachments without having to download, update, and upload the newest version each time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps reduce duplicating work efforts because people are able to collaborate more easily. Also, it's easier to have collections of work items in different folders that are accessible to all. If you need to limit some users, there is easy capability for security purposes.
