Oh no, new UI, oh no...
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is very beneficial for project management and storing documents. It makes creating tasks for my graphics department very easy. I can link other pages for reference, tag people, assign a date, and tag another folder where they can save completed files.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new UI... we need to have a serious talk here. Most change is good even when there is a learning curve. My office is 65 people mixed with developers, graphic artists, PM's, business owners, etc. I have yet to find a SINGLE person who likes the new UI. The fact you have to click 'pages' when you come to a space... ::crickets:: isn't that why we are there to begin with? It feels like a UI expert or daily user was no where in the room when this was being created. I love you Confluence, but you are really confusing me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has a proper balance of file storage and communication. I enjoy the option to decide if a page will have a table it in or just be a file list. I like that I can tailor access based on the people working on the project and then save projects or watch them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please really consider your new user interface. I feel it could push people away, especially new customers who do not know the positive benefits of the tool.
Going in the wrong direction
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to organize pages based on project and then create multiple types of pages within that area is helpful to organize files.
What do you dislike about the product?
The set up is nearly impossible to navigate. It is not intuitive in the slightest, ESPECIALLY the new layout. It is harder than ever to find anything you are trying to access, and all of the functions seem almost purposefully hidden from sight. Please hire a new UX/UI team, Atlassian.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to share files is very helpful across the board, it is easy to organize initially, but not so easy to find later on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't.
Functional and easy
What do you like best about the product?
The clean and intuitive layout makes it easy to navigate and create content.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could insert more personality, I would sacrifice some of the clean interface for more customization options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is basically our guidebook to the work and activities going on throughout our company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Features such as watching a page are invaluable.
Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it to collaborate with other co-workers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to share files and get issues resolved when the program itself isn't responding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are closing the gap between miscommunication in our department.
Confluence for non developers
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to add process improvements to a working draft
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some bugs right now where you can't add watchers. That's pretty tough
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence to document processes for teams. We haven't fully moved over to this
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's hard to navigate sometimes- could be our company though
Best place to organize your documentation
What do you like best about the product?
The different templates are helpful. Team collaboration and notification on changes helps the team to be in sync. How to articles helps the onboarding process easy. Integration with JIRA and Bamboo is icing on the cake. We do release notes and that pulls the stories from Jira with a search query. The task in JIRA can link to a wiki in confluence with just the name matching to the task. An article can be linked back to JIRA task by tagging the task name in the article. This was a useful feature to quickly find the related information. We maintain release notes in confluence JIRA snippet can be included as a part of the document that will list all the task related to the current release which is dynamic. When the task is added with a version its listed automatically rather editing and adding to the document. Single sign on is a bonus switching between JIRA and Confluence. We need to link the application for this to happen and that is straight forward from the UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in specific it seems to work well. Improved rich text capability will be nice to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the documentation is organized. Ease of search in finding the relevant document. Tight integration with JIRA and Bamboo helps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Documentation is a key in any software development. Wiki, KB, How to articles will help save time in the longer run.
Banking and Confluence Pages
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it can be kept as in internal source of communication as well as documentation for internal libraries and instructions for system installations. It's easy to tag people to different post just in case they've missed something, or if you're unsure what something is trying to say, you can see who wrote the post and you can ask them in person/IM them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have any complaints about this software. It does what it's supposed to do. I wish there was integration to directly reference a page within confluence without having to past the entire url into a chat box. Maybe using a # to reference the page? Another feature could be adding suggestions to improve upon a post with an annotation next to the line instead of leaving it in a comment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication and keeping the company in sync/up-to-date with the latest tech people are coming up within the company. If you're not sure how to go about installing a piece of required software, confluence makes it easy with a quick search to find an installation guide written by someone within the company who may have encountered problems and fixes for those problems. Another benefit is managers can keep tabs on employees that are going above and beyond with documentation by looking through a person's linked posts.

Great tool, looking forward to seeing improvements
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great way to document and collaborate with cross functional teams. They try to make it easy to edit and collaborate but sometimes personalization can be diffuclt
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the site can be very clunky to work with. There are limitations to its rigid structure such as personalization.
I wish there was a better FAQ or Tool help section. Anytime I google or search their library it really isn't helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great tool for documentation and sharing information with dozens of people. Easy resource to always check in on that can be useful to all.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Better tools library or FAQs
Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
Interactive page that allows my employees to easily access up to date information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Page design could be improved upon and it seems there is much more I could be using Confluence for that I am unaware of. I would be interested in learning more about confluence
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A common area in which all staff can easily access up to date information
Easy to navigate, clear layout - hard to search
What do you like best about the product?
The layout is very easy to read and to navigate. Collaboration and notifications are simple and relevant. Web-based means that there is no additional software to install.
What do you dislike about the product?
Searching could use some improvement, I find myself not being able to find documents that I know exist. Our portal is behind the firewall which forces remote users to login via VPN to access the site. This should be a consideration for ease of use and security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and documentation among our global team has gotten much easier with Confluence. We now have a single source for pertinent information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test the search feature if this is important to you, and review collaboration.
