THE best for team documentation and organization!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how we are able to document all of our tasks and project layouts in confluence and our staff can easily go in and see how to perform these tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the functionality. What I mean by this is I wish it was easier to log in and out and view certain tasks. This program was very hard to understand at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using confluence to document projects. This is solving the problem of losing workflows behind projects, customer inquiries and different functionalities within our firm.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend this product to keep your staff in line with your goals and staying organized!

Great Collaboration Tool for Business, Navigation can be a bit difficult

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to add a page for basically anything you can think of. I also love the use of hyperlinking - we do this a lot with good docs and spreadsheets. It makes it SO easy to simply reference something on a page and then link to the actual content elsewhere. This allows us to keep Confluence "clean" without sacrificing important information, data, etc. I love the page trees, that makes a lot of sense. I also like that you can "watch" pages - this makes updating people on changes really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the page tree is helpful, if you are looking for a page outside of the "space" you usually work in, it can be difficult to find - esp if you only have certain information about the page you are looking for. I wish there was more of a depository/menu/site menu, etc. to make it easier to find pages on other teams, spaces, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our business of 275+ people across 4+ offices to literally stay on the same page. We can upload videos of our recent company meetings so people can watch remotely after the fact, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Truly wonderful place to keep notes, etc. Much better for large teams than using things like Google docs to keep things organized. Allows you to create "pages" and branch them with other pages, team members, other depts, etc. Easy to use, but can be a bit difficult when trying to locate pages outside of your team or the "space" you usually work in.

What do you like best about the product?
Its easy of use, the ability to integrate with Active directory. It is flexible in entering data, uploading documents
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI could be better. The interface for the user could be more graphic and inviting to the user.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can keep all my documentation and collaborate with my team in this wiki. The plugins that integrate with other applications are highly useful.

Currently there's nothing I have run into yet.

Centralized area for documentation and collaboration.

Confluence is easy to use, plows our company to store a wealth of information regarding products, research, client information, resolutions and troubleshooting steps

I wish it was a little better organized in its presentation

Product and software issues, client hotfixes, client notes, possible workarounds

What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility also results in complexity. Maintaining a good menu structure and keeping things flexible for users can make your knowledge base messy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration/sharing knowledge and documents across multiple teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
May be useful for very specific use-cases, like sharing information within one project. More difficult to implement for collaboration across multi disciplinary teams.

Great Collaboration Tool

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of adding content and creating a web of documentation. Love how you can tag people and they get notified. Also the integration with Jira is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
The styling. It has the appearance of non-modern software. Some of the formatting is difficult to remember. Would be nice to be able to make part of the site public and keep part private.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration on product development, releases and other projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give a training to new employees when starting to use the software as it can be a bit of a learning curve for certain non-technical people.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that the space in confluence is completely flexible for the needs of the organization using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI seems outdated and clunky. The search functionality is pretty fair but could be improved in format for easy scanning of results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is our internal system for SOPs as well as common knowledge. We organize it by team and then further break down by topic. We can attach files, cross-reference pages, and "watch" key pages to receive notifications via email for updates. We benefit by have one centeralized place for common knowledge.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As with any software I would test the application to ensure the functionality will support the needs of your company.

It's a great go-to system for information.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you search for something specific it pulls all the keywords and it can take up time looking for what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every meeting or tutorial are uploaded in confluence where people can access it at any time or day.
