What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to find general information and documents relating to the company. Confluence is a fun word to say.
What do you dislike about the product?
It looks rather boring. Seems to be designed more for engineers and business types than for creatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Things are more well organized and easily accessible at the company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It does what it needs to do. It keeps things well organized within a large company with hundreds of employees.
Helpful collaboration tool for large groups
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence offers a more elegant way to track workflows for mid-sized teams. We use it to share calendars and track multimedia progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Email notifications are overwhelming - it's not always instantaneous and it feels like updates occasionally slip through the cracks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better collaboration, easier group work

What do you like best about the product?
I like that for engineers who understand it it works great and that it has a lot of plug ins and can help departments individually.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a fan of it for the purpose of an intranet or for not technical departments. Its not user friendly and the GUI needs to be updated it feels old and dated and not pushing forward. I am also not a fan of the Jira confluence connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved the lack of an intranet and has been used with Jira to manage tickets and projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you train your employees on how to use it, the GUI is not friendly. It may have a lot more capabilities that people realize but if you haven't trained your staff you will be wasting it and people will get frustrated with the results and that will deter them from using a software that isn't easy.
Good for internal documentation and file sharing among teams. But slow.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn - I picked up most of the functionality just by clicking around the site and trying stuff. I also really like that spaces can be exported to PDF with custom formatting. The online help was GREAT for helping me get the custom formatting set how I wanted to. The widgets and templates work really well too.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really slow to load any pages. Also, figuring out the logic with permissions for spaces and restrictions for pages can be complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easier and more effective way to create and share documentation among teams internally. We have more consistently formatted and easy to access documents, especially for one-offs and instructions that don't fit easily into a predetermined category. It's also more user-friendly than SharePoint, which has increased user adoption.
Superb Document Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration of document creation is very easy. It stores all the versions makes life easy to revert back to old versions of the document.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting is not as great as creating a document in MS Word.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is the primary source for all our project related documentation.
Great collaborative experience
What do you like best about the product?
It's great for collaborating with several people, all in different offices and time zones. Also good for creating a large database of different documents easily organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was integrated with other applications such as salesforce (and it might be, just not in my system version). And sometimes it doesn't seem very user friendly to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this mainly to keep everyone on the same page with ongoing known issues in our software. Also used to show integration guides for each hotel system and our software, that way we can look into the specific guides for any issues happening.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set it up correctly and it'll be perfect for organization. But make sure that if you're using a lot of different documents, you are very particular with how you organize them to make it easier in the future for everyone to find what they need.

Love that it makes it super easy to collaborate and share things across the whole company. Always the hub I look at to get information

Can be hard to get people onboarded, seems like I always have to walk them through it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our company info / meeting notes / anything else is on confluence. Makes it easy for anyone to get the information they are looking for.

I love the ease and ability to insert diagrams, macros, and so many other functions!

Nothing I can think of. It's very user friendly and offers an array of user functionality.

Issue tracking, product and project management, status tracking, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the responsiveness of the tool itself and the ability to create helpful pages and resources for an entire team or even company to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a little bit of a learning curve, especially since I don't have the most experience with coding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one, centralized location for our information has been a problem for years and we are using Confluence to build up our information resources.

So many functionalities, you can create charts, upload photos and other docs. makes it easy to share with people and when you download docs they are still good quality
