What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to create pages as well as the deep search functions that can find search terms in attached documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how difficult it is to edit tables - it is nearly impossible to format cells on a table without resorting to custom code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Confluence as a knowledge base for our many products and features. Having a central location for all the documents has fixed the issue of people using out-of-date information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Confluence, but be warned that older versions are missing some important updates (editing tables, etc.) so make sure to install the most recent version.

Collaboration for the Masses

  • June 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, search that functions well, dashboards that present relevant information quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The application can get a bit spendy if you need several templates or other plugins to get your workflow dialed in for your individual needs. If you can make-do with some of the built-in features or even have staff on hand that can create custom workflows, you will save a lot in the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Poor communication is the one of the most crippling issues any company can face. We are overcoming this through the use of Confluence to collaborate across teams and ensure that master copies of important data are up to date and contain a versioning trail.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Figure out exactly how many themes and plug-ins you will need to be successful before a long term commitment to the software is made.
