A good tool for corporate wiki

  • May 09, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can have all the information directly at your fingertips, and it's very easy to navigate as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Atlassian can be a little aggressive with their marketing e-mails -- even though I'm using multiple tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this tool to store all of our information across departments. It's a handy resource when people need to see the processes of other departments.

Top Product Management and Collaboration Tool - Intregration with Other Atlassian Tools

  • May 09, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that openness of the site and the ability for anyone to edit pages (wiki style). I also like how user friendly the tool is to non-IT folks and the integration with other Atlassian systems like Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a bit more configuration options for creating / editing content. It's also unclear as to how tools like this fit into our broader corporate collaboration strategy with other tools, notably Microsoft SharePoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to track and communicate project charter, status, and issues/risk (integrated with Jira).

Good repository/knowledge base solution

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to add pages using a variety of templates
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a somewhat high learning curve--but there are tons of tutorials available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Confluence as a knowledge base, primarily how-to and blog articles.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared to do some self-directed learning; it isn't terribly intuitive

Confluence is a great resource to train the entire company

  • May 03, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like confluence for the creation of every process the company has. If someone is out of the office one day and a teammate needs help, they can look to confluence to find all the answers. Having confluence in place allows training and ramp up time to come way down. The faster we are able to ramp our employees the more efficient and effective we become.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting everyone to buy in and fully adopt confluence as the centralized location for pretty much all of our companies material has not been the easiest. Just like the technology we are selling we cannot expect everyone to be 100% bought in and adopt to using it right from day one. It is a process and I am confident the same will happen with confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of cross departmental communication and organization. A lot of our companies processes and strategies are developed based on the success of other groups. Having confluence with all the resources and answers on how we do things is a huge help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A lot of people see confluence as a similar product to google drive but it is much more intuitive . Confluence is much more organized and user friendly.

managing our internal tech tickets.

Great tool for collaborating on documentation

  • May 02, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, using short codes for text formatting, seeing revision history, linking between pages, and setting up a clean hierarchy (essentially a table of contents). Furthermore, this is a significant jump over using SharePoint as a document collaboration tool in terms of the previously mentioned features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, the tool has solved a huge problem for our client.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation for our partner's software and other tools were sprawled all over different locations. Confluence allowed us to aggregate all information into one spot, and keep it organized and well formatted.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Awesome tool for organizations that wish to have a robust document repository with rich editing tools and an easy-to-use interface. Both technical and non-techie folks can be productive which is a huge plus when working with business units.

Confluence is useful, powerful, perhaps too powerful for many.

  • May 02, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the huge feature list and many extensions available.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't find the interface particularly engaging or easy to use especially for smaller projects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilized Confluence for software documentation and internal developer communication
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend companies with sufficient data, to try to utilize Confluence. I think our company was too small to really get usefulness out of the software

What do you like best about the product?
Great tool to organize knowledge sharing and storing docs for multiple teams to access. Easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Options to have different layouts or UIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organized way to condense all this information
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good tool for team collaboration and documentation. Great for managing the overall project documentation. The online editor provides the capability to create document with Confluence, eliminating the need of 3rd Party tools. It has a great capability of importing documents from other file types and creating ready to edit document in confluence. It's integration with Jira service the need to have an end to end collaboration with User stories and tasks.
