Source of Information for All
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the responsiveness of the tool itself and the ability to create helpful pages and resources for an entire team or even company to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a little bit of a learning curve, especially since I don't have the most experience with coding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one, centralized location for our information has been a problem for years and we are using Confluence to build up our information resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn how to best use it!
It's great
What do you like best about the product?
So many functionalities, you can create charts, upload photos and other docs. makes it easy to share with people and when you download docs they are still good quality
What do you dislike about the product?
learning all the different things we can do with the software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
all of our projects are being handled through confluence, makes it easy to communicate
World's first class software for developer
What do you like best about the product?
Clear, and fully functionally for software developers, espectially free for Open Source Projects, this makes me very glad to recommend this to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Java is a little heavy for most of small company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software development
There was nothing I was missing at confluence when writing documentation
What do you like best about the product?
Great configurability, lot's of option for custom formatting
What do you dislike about the product?
Paid plugins, a bit complicated to perform lookup for info
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed some single location for easy entering and storing requirement about our software product. Now everyone in my team is obliged to write a piece of documentation for every requirement change they get aware
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you use another Atlassian products like JIRA, Confluence will right choice as they have great integration.
You may also consider plugins pricing if default tool set is not enough for your business need.

The Only Wiki I Use
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is feature packed yet easy to use. It tightly integrates with other Atlassian products such as Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
When things get complicated, Confluence sometimes does too much to try and solve a problem with a GUI that could be easily resolved with a markup language. You can structure your documentation any way you like, but that feels a bit too "loose". I'd rather have a little more guidance or even restriction to get my company's information organized logically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence gives my team a permanent yet private place to document things. As a Software Engineer, we use it primarily for documenting requirements and code.
confulence
What do you like best about the product?
I like how things are categorized and organized neatly so that I can always find the information that I need quickly and easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes there seems to be no hierarchy between information so I need to browse from folders to folders to find the headings that I need to open.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We restored a bunch of information and regulations that we need to know for the job depending on different positions in confluence so that we can refer to them whenever we need it. I find it beneficial especially when I need to look up staff logs or regulation look-ups
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is easy to use, but I recommend you to skim through the headings of folders at the beginning so that you can click whatever you need quickly as needed. This will save lots of time looking for the information you need to know.
Great for teams
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a fantastic tool to use in any organization that needs documentation. Our company likes the ability to create different site pages for customers and organize the pages as trees.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence doesn't have a very engaging interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for knowledge sharing. Instead of asking another co-worker who may not be available as they are in the field, we get on Confluence and use the information there. This saves us a lot of time.
A Wave of Information
What do you like best about the product?
When it comes to any application, for me what matters is ease of use. Confluence, at my job, has provided an ease of use which allows to study quickly and apply what I learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing negative to say about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As of right now, I use primarily as a study.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend this product.
An Over-hyped Wiki
What do you like best about the product?
Its integration with JIRA is useful and the search feature is solid (though unfortunately required to find things).
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI isn't that great. For such a hyped company Atlassian has done little to make any of their products, including Confluence, user-friendly. Navigating spaces is a pain. Their mobile app is useless. They fell for the Microsoft Word trap of stacking on tons of feature without focusing on clearing solving problems. And I DESPISE the lack of quality filtering on notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence to store information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think long and hard about whether Confluence is REALLY the best for your company or if you are just jumping onto an Agile-inspired-JIRA bandwagon. It isn't a horrible product, but for the price, it should be a lot better.
Great for creating a knowledge base
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and has security settings to limit who can view which parts. There is also an option to write comments and @people to ask questions and clarify information on the page.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could use a calendar add-on. We currently create manual calendars.
We also have a hard time with the search. Its intuitive for pages you've already visited but harder to search through a knowledge base that has existed for many years.
We also have a hard time with the search. Its intuitive for pages you've already visited but harder to search through a knowledge base that has existed for many years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A shared place to create/view information so it's not lost during staff changes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good option since it is so widely used. If you have any doubts/questions, you can probably find the answer by entering it in google.
