Good way to share internal knowledge

  • February 22, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use.
Good way to create knowledge base articles for internal teams
Great for information sharing
Flexible and easy publishing options
Integrations with Jira and Hipchat
What do you dislike about the product?
Search indexing seems to work oddly/poorly at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge sharing.
We share plans for projects, ideas, processes.

This allows us to archive knowledge and records for those that join teams later on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool for knowledge sharing. Give it a try. I could see it being useful for teams that are looking to cross train and share knowledge. New employees will love this resource if you leverage it by publishing content.

Intuitive and simple

  • February 21, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive simple interface, everything does what you expected it to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Server seems to be RAM intensive, meaning I need to allocate more resources to confluence even when not in use for longer periods of time.
Wish they had a version to use on shared hosting plans, since the current solution requires root on unix servers.

Easy documentation and discussion source on technical topics.

What do you like best about the product?
If used properly, Confluence is excellent for internal process management. We use it to create and maintain dynamic wiki content. The search feature also does a nice job.

In my opinion, Confluence is weak when it comes to document management. It's not intuitive to link documents within wikis, etc.

Confusing

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Not much to say here. I suppose that it is fairly easy to use

Thought sharing, project organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
THink twice. Be sure to plan security well.
