Great for Team Collaboration, But Has a Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has been a game changer for my team’s documentation and knowledge sharing. It’s incredibly easy to create structured pages, embed files (like PDFs spreadsheets, even Flowcharts and Use Case Diagrams), and organize everything with a clear hierarchy. The templates (meeting notes, project plans, FAQs) save so much time, and the @mentions and comments make collaboration seamless. I also love the integration with JIRA linking tickets to Confluence pages keeps everyone on the same page.
My team at Rentio uses Confluence to document our journey sprint by sprint, release by release and it's so helpful.
In addition to this, we have this whole section of document which easily helps us to onboard new joiners. We also use it to document our Sprint Retrospectives (among a whole lot of other things) which helps us to improve the culture of the sprints one sprint at a time.

What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can feel overwhelming at first, especially for non-technical users. Some of my teammates struggled with permissions and figuring out where pages were saved. The search function works, but it’s not as intuitive as I’d like. Sometimes I have to dig through multiple results to find what I need. Also, while the free plan is decent, the paid tiers get expensive fast for small teams. Also, confluence should look into increasing it's number of users on a specific plan because I was part of a company where there were so many people, I could'nt get the access or have my user created because the seats ran out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives my team and me a platform where we could share our knowledge, get ourselves educated with the knowledge happened before we were even a part of the project and helps us document everything in real time.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be a little too much .

sending guides to people at the company
An amazing platform for teams
What do you like best about the product?
Very helpful in organization and documentation for teams. Offers concepts of spaces for segregation, integrates with Jira which is a nobrainer for scrum and the intuitive UI is always a plus. I've seen it used predominantly in all the teams I've worked so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
It integrates with draw.io and other diagram making platforms. But those can lead to permission issues if a team member leaves, and we enter a permission hell after that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my team, we used it for documentation, guides, best practices etc. It also integrates with Jira which makes it easy to document any production releases or issues. Plus, having spaces meant we could segregate engineering teams easily

Sometimes it feels a bit slow, especially when loading large pages. Also, the editor can be a little clunky when formatting content or moving things around.

What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting can be a little picky sometimes, and I usually end up spending extra time tweaking things to make them look just right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Confluence, our team’s docs were scattered across emails, chat threads, and random files, which made finding anything a pain. It’s helped us cut down on repetitive questions, speed up onboarding for new team members, and keep our projects moving without miscommunication so far.
