What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it mainly to collaborate within our team and between teams and use it as a place to share knowledge/document findings.
Product mainly uses it for PRDs and my team, the Onboarding team mainly uses it for documenting different issues we face with each implementation to share with product/ENG. I see the value of it as a great collaboration tool within the organization. It is fairly intuitive overall. Easy to upload attachments, create documents and tag people within the team.

Confluence is great for an IT knowledgebase!
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence from an IT standpoint on getting the message across to users is fantastic. There are great tools on creating a knowledge base for your users. Also the user management from an admin point of view is also brilliant, I couldn't have wished for a better system where that is concerned.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, all the features are there and there is also additional plugins which you can add or pay for. There really isn't a limit in what we can do with it.

Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to update and edit existing pages so the collaboration is pretty good. You can also tab and favorite items.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you change a title it changes the URL so saved links are easily broken. Also the search is not the greatest, I always seem to find I need to sort through lots and lots of results and rarely find what I want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a place for engineering documentation and test cases. They can then share these with the support team so we have current documentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
make sure you take the time to plan how you want to implement this. I think it could be a great tool, but it needs to be planned and administered or it will become a morass of random documents.
A great tool for product knowledge, and long term information reference

Page editing is straightforward and simple to do, allowing you to create efficient and professional looking resource pages. Resources can be structured in a way that makes them easy to find using sidebars and the product is reliable and consistent in its performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel cumbersome at times when you need to do more regular updates, and other more agile products based around activity feeds may be more suited to the task of sharing the sort of day to day updates a department might want to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge base storage, daily updates, inter department communication
Simple, powerful documentation and project management resource
