Not my favorite tool
What do you like best about the product?
The pages are pretty customizable and it's easy to create collaborative documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to find what you want without a direct link. The menus are rarely helpful, and the search feature is unreliable in helping me find what im looking for. I am also inundated with update emails when someone modifies a page I'm watching.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We began using this tool to increase collaboration between teams. I just wish it was a little more user friendly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would wait on this one. Maybe once it's a bit more developed and user-friendly.
Confluence has influence
What do you like best about the product?
Visibility and accessibility. Ease to add code blocks ,request / response as well as URL
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes difficult to sort the page. I need to sort by my name and since I am beginner makes it little difficult to use at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The transparency of adding documents and see others documents on Confluence . Help to reduce email as we can see other developers documents too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its easy to use ans very flexible with the format like I have added java blocks to my page.
Great Wiki. Simple an easy to setup and use
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very simple tool. It is quick to setup and very easy to use. It is great for writing documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
We could use a bit better navigation options but otherwise not much
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to publish our documentation. Since its simple, most of our team members can easily use it.
We upload screenshots, videos on most pages.

Not a Mainstream Collaborative product yet...
What do you like best about the product?
Easy integration with other tools such as Ticketing systems
What do you dislike about the product?
Not quite an enterprise tool, at least from the perception perspective, since I was a SharePoint user earlier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Central repository for files, & collaboration
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make it better than SharePoint with web parts etc.
It's good but has a lot of potential to improve
What do you like best about the product?
Few things I like about Confluence are,
- Document version history
- Variety of document templates to get started
- Clean integration with JIRA
- Excellent page editing and formatting options
are some of the things.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the most annoying thing about Confluence is navigation horror, you will always feel lost and the document organization is not well done. Another issue is the speed, it doesn't feel smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to have a system where non-technical users can write clear documentation on problems and include relevant JIRA issue links and for maintaining product specifications, sprints etc. Technical users can document engineering processes, technical writeups etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a JIRA user, go for it. It makes it a breeze to link issues and have better context.
Good program
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's easy to keep notes all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more features offered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to have a central place for all employees to use as a reference for daily tasks.
Useful for tracking processes
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a pretty easy wiki to use. We use it to document procedures and processes so that everyone is on the same page, plus new staff can be trained faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Copy/paste formatting from Confluence into an email doesn't work well. Lots of formatting issues so you have to strip out the formatting into the tool you pasted the text into and reformat.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need to document all of our internal procedures in a way that is easily accessible by all staff
Effective content management
What do you like best about the product?
That it's on the cloud, and that all documents are always accessible. Also the integration with JIRA is sweet.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of logging in every time is a little hard on the time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration. This helps in documentation and making sure everyone is on the same page.
Confluence Facilitates Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is easy to use, flexible, scalable (via the Atlassian Marketplace, offering a robust ecosystem of plugins and accelerators). Because of Confluence, our organization has been able to move documentation and project collaboration to a centralized searchable location.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of its flexibility and scalability, Confluence is highly customizable, which sometimes makes for difficult support questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company has been stuck in the world of Lotus Notes, email inboxes, and Word documents for the past few decades. The Atlassian stack (especially Confluence and JIRA) has allowed us to move our documentation, collaboration, product development, and project management into a centralized location, saving everyone time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Because not all plugins we use are available in the Cloud version of Confluence, we have to host this on our own servers. As such, the maintenance piece of this product is much more cumbersome. My recommendation to those considering Confluence for the first time: Cloud! Cloud! Cloud!
Great solution for my company's wiki
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use and navigate though the system and easily integrates with active directory, enabling my staff to share data and tag information seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is my first experience supporting a wiki system and it really is quite simple to use. Perhaps additional APIs could be incorporated, but they are always adding additional support so can not say much on this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data/knowledge transfer and sharing. This system is great at indexing data and really makes it easy to find and share.
