Great functionality and ease of access

  • July 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its cloud based and really easy to use once you get to know its little quirks, much easier than managing and intranet, and great for collaboration with in teams and department and easily links to other systems
What do you dislike about the product?
Some integrations with 3rd party apps could be better where the app is really good but the confleunce backend doestn full make use of them. Also offline back ups or a contingency for running the cloud based system locally for the purpose of disater recovery or where downtime could mean no access to our data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for more than a knowledge base and more as an internal document intranet and it links to Jira for the service and change control side of things, It makes for easy documentation for ISO 9001 and team related documentation along with apporval of official release documents.

What do you like best about the product?
Fewer choices for fonts, weights, and style makes the document more readable and we end up spending less time choosing the right style for our document.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with tools like excel, google sheets etc. I believe the tabular data is much restricted and there is no way to apply even simple formula such as sum, average etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier documentation and collaboration.

Confluence shares expertise in report editing

  • July 04, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has several tools that can be coupled to its platform. There are several items that run together and enable different benefits for users. In addition, it allows several individuals to edit on the same copy of a document. The institution shapes the documents well. This is a quality in my thinking due to the fact that the institution's staff has the ability to find evidence easily. Atlassian Confluence is an excellent alternative to the other two knowledge base software services we have used previously. The software is more firm and has more assists, as is the case with Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence is not equally visible on different internet browsers. In talking to a colleague, he told me that it is more effective in Chrome. My computer has both Internet Explorer and Chrome browsers, so I will have to make sure I am using the Chrome browser at the time I log into Confluence. Atlassian is not natural for the user. Several staff members were not educated on the platform itself and find it complicated to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Atlassian Confluence is the initial reference point for our entire institution. The software provides us with the ability for our staff to share knowledge in an agile way between different offices around the globe. We have created different sections of basic knowledge, which have their own "field" on the platform, so staff from each department can share information that is relevant only to their department. This prevents repetition of emails and generates a database of company data and shared knowledge.

Wonderful KB and team collaboration system

  • June 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of wonderful features provided by Confluence.

few to say, pre-build templates provide a good kick-off point for a newbie.

Multiple projects and space management is a good feature.
- mentioning someone in the team using @sign is a good feature and provides clarity in dividing responsibilities while content and activity management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SaaS version of Confluence got stuck sometimes while working with large documents and there is no option to leave/delete the page and create another page.

nothing much except that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps in building a centralized document repo for the entire organization and a centralized place for teams to share their thoughts.

- Run books builds on confluence are easy to be referenced through and keep upto date

Use Confluence to store project and organisational knowledge

  • June 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has been a great asset to my organisation and I'm grateful for how easy the platform is to use. The friendly interface allows us to quickly share internal information, including decisions made during important meetings. We also often discuss projects with members of other organisations in Confluence's discussion groups, which helps us to see different perspectives when approaching tasks together and keeps communication between teams streamlined in one place. Finally, the detailed search engine ensures that all documents are at our fingertips, making it easy to find what we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Confluence's layout clunky and outdated. Also, granting access is complicated and copying/pasting between other programs such as Microsoft Office isn't always easy. In addition, users without the right permissions must send PDFs to email; publishing pages for meeting notes results in a plethora of pages on a sidebar with no way to nest them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has been valuable for me in facilitating group ideation and simplifying the creation of standard operating procedures. Because it's hosted in the cloud, there's no need for me to take on additional maintenance tasks or burden our IT department.

The essential tool for efficient documentation

  • June 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its integration with Jira, This integration is seamless, which is not surprising since both products are developed by the same company. This means that I can easily synchronize project documentation with issue and task tracking in Jira, which is a great help in keeping everything organized and up to date.
I am also able to generate weekly reports easily. While there are sometimes a few bugs, overall you can create really great reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is one aspect of Confluence that bothers me a bit: PDF printing sometimes doesn't work properly. Although the documents look great on the screen, trying to print them in PDF format can cause problems. This is especially frustrating when using extensions, as they can crash during updates. I have experienced a case where a specific add-on intended for printing simply did not work as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its ability to centralize documentation and simplify updates and governance decisions is really beneficial. With Confluence, we can focus on the documentation itself, rather than wasting time searching for the correct version of a document. Without a doubt, this tool has become my trusted ally for project management and efficient documentation.

Confluence for file sharing

  • June 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sharing files with other staff and customers is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to know how it works the first time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It benefits because we no longer have to send files by e-mail for projects. All the file management and sharing is there.
