Super versatile, simple to use

  • November 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Quick and effective collaboration is key in today's workplaces - especially if you have a number of remote team members as we do. I have used Confluence on several teams and it quickly becomes our go-to medium for documenting results, findings, projections, take-aways. I love that it is a complete package that doesn't require a number of add-ons to really do what you want (looking at you, Jira).
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to see them expand the charting abilities of Confluence. Enable teams to easily create more useful dashboards and pull in more data from more tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily, this helps us to create and maintain ideas and team knowledge. Too many times, discussions create great results but they are too quickly forgotten. We use Confluence to persist the most relevant info without spending a lot of time doing it.

Knowledge sharing

  • November 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Confluence on a daily basis since my previous company and now too. I really enjoy the freedom to organize things and how easy I can create new documents and integrate with other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not a problem of the tool but how it's used. Sometimes it can get more difficult to keep the same pattern in order to make navigation easier inside the same company. That's more like a tradeoff of being open and flexible for everyone, which I like most so I don't have actually something to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration. Working with different teams across the globe raises some difficulties and Confluence helps us a lot gathering ourselves and our knowledge in one platform in which everyone of us can see and contribute to it.

A robust product for all enterprise level collaborate for the team.

  • November 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its a one stop shop for the team to create, manage and collaborate effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need of many teams is to disseminate information to be done on an organizational basis. Need a bit more of an isolation level for information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its the go to tool for capturing all the details pertaining to the project. The teams can effectively collaborate and it reduces the time and effort.

Very useful tool for any internal documentation

  • November 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use, with example templates and keyboard shortcuts. The ability to export to PDF or Word is also a plus. Smart elements such as a children pages based index is really helpful when building a multi-layered playbook.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawback currently is the lack of ability to open links in a new window or control the iframe behavior, but these are small issues in general comparing to all benefits of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation management in an engaging way creates good-looking documents that are interactive and easy to edit by the whole team. The templates are helping in starting the new documents as the typical structure is already created for you.

The go to tool for documenting Product ideas and development flow!

  • November 18, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. One can write ideas related to a product that they are working on and share them with their team members. Multiple team members can edit the document.
2. The Table of content, publishing feature is really good for summarising the document and understanding the content flow.
3. You can see the new content published by the rest of your teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no option for making a presentation, I feel there is more than one way of jotting down ideas, while one can be in the form of a document another can be in the form of a presentation.
It's a little too simple as a tool. There should be an option of communicating with your teammates, on an ongoing project other than writing comments on the document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team writes Product Requirement Documents on the Confluence worksheet. It provides a sufficient number of tools within a document to structure it better for it to be understood easily by anyone on the team.

Useful for creating runbooks and also have team related documents in one place

  • November 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about confluence is that the various teams in our projects can create runbooks and store documentation related to their projects. This is best because if we are stuck on something, we can quickly jump on to our project's confluence page and get the required information.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are not able to have constant access to the page. Like if one user is working on access-related issues, other users are losing their access without notice. This creates a hassle because we have to raise a ticket to access the page one more time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using confluence has vast benefits because we are working on a support project and require runbooks and documentation to refer to when solving new tickets. When we come across a new ticket, we can easily hop on over to the confluence page and search the topic, and we will easily access the required page with all the details. We are also able to store installation procedures for the various tools that we use on a day-to-day basis.
