All information in one centralized place
What do you like best about the product?
It helps keep everyone on the team organized by keeping the information all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to find specific pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It centralizes information and makes it easy to refer someone to a page that has everything that they'd need to know.
Best idea organiser
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can organise my ideas and contents, for my team to see and edit at anytime.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, but of more tutorials can be given to help beginners understand basic parts better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generating ideas and contents with team members to bring this to life and helps with note taking and keeping
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended to keep team members up to date and view live updates
Easy to create
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's easy to create a custom wiki for your information
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be somewhat tedious when creating each individual page
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I haven't run into any problems. The benefit is a knowledge base for all documentation to live in.
Confluence: User-friendly internal wiki (crucial if you rely on JIRA)
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence connects automatically to other Atlassian products. A crucial service if you rely heavily on JIRA for software development, engineering, and related functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the limitation that Confluence content cannot be easily embedded into external websites, even if only employees are accessing the external site. iFrames and other types of integrations are commonplace these days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting internal processes and work across separate engineering teams that don't always communicate regularly. Confluence is being pursued as a means to ensure we write down what we know and have accomplished!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Establish internal layouts/templates, processes, etc. before diving in FOR PAGES. Allow anyone to write whatever they want USING BLOGS. Just makes these easier later.
Confluence is a good tool to manage knowledge
What do you like best about the product?
Search and recently used dashboards makes it easy to navigate and saves time
What do you dislike about the product?
I know there is much more in there, but It doesn't stand out when I log in. Also, the fact that it is up to the user to manage the data and keep it updated, the lack of reminder or smart tracking algo that can trigger admin attention to go back and update his pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me organize and publish information that other departments should know and should have easy access to. The notification feature that lets users register to my pages is handy since it lets other track changes and gets them in push
Great internal resources
What do you like best about the product?
The editor within confluence is a breeze to use. Beyond that the ease of integration with different services and internal articles makes it an amazing and robust internal knowledge base. It's been fantastic for exporting help articles to send to clients as our current ticketing system is severely lacking.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is less about confluence, and more the implementation within our organization, but unless it's integrated fully into the users' workflow, it's very easy to begin to negelct and accrue technical debt. There needs to be strong integration as well as a clear plan for how it's going to be used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a period of high turnover in our office, and it's helped immensely with onboarding new hires. We have a trove of interconnected articles for getting started as well one-off procedures and workflows for just about anything you could imagine. It's helped me personally fulfil responsibilities outside of my role when the appropriate person wasn't present.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a clear action and implementation plan so that the usefulness of confluence isn't wasted.
Confluence for issues tracker and knowledge exchange
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of collaboration with the team and knowledge sharing of essential software and tips and tricks
What do you dislike about the product?
The website is a bit dated. It needs some updates. The navigation between pages sometimes gets confusing because there are multiple ways to get to a particular confluence page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am sharing company software knowledge and tips and tricks. Very useful for new hires and co-op students and interns. This makes them more productive as the learning curve is faster.
Best for Technical Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
when I started working as Technical Analyst and project manager, I have to write technical documentation, which usually involve business requirements, I think this is the best tool to create these sorts of documents with requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
i think the only problem i faced using this was the setting of bullet points in sections when you create a table,
also I believe more options related to design should be added

Excellent tool for sharing knowledge internally
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable the tool is, and how easy it is to build out new pages or entire sections.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took a little while to become familiar and comfortable with the layout. I felt overwhelmed by the structure of information at first, but of course, that's customizable. Tooltips could be helpful for first-time users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disseminating knowledge internally across a growing organization.

What do you dislike about the product?
The web app has to be refreshed to load content sometimes, and the updates are not pushed and auto-saved in real-time.
Also, the app should have more options to customize how to show the images; the only option offered is to inline the body of the text.
