Nice internal wiki management
What do you like best about the product?
ease of use: it's very convenient to create and edit documents
sharing: easy to share across teams and build a knowledge repository
sharing: easy to share across teams and build a knowledge repository
What do you dislike about the product?
Search is a very critical feature of a document or wiki management software and that is my least favorite part about the confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to make knowledge sharing within the teams easier. The editing interface is pretty good and plenty of plugins are available.
Best application for storing important documents.
What do you like best about the product?
We can easily find out the page what we are trying to find out. The format for storing the page and documents are very well structured. In this, you can integrate many other applications of project management and charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. But sometimes it takes some time to open the confluence page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All important documents of my company are in confluence . And if we solved difficult or interesting problems then we wrote those steps on this. So other members of my team can follow later.
Best Overall Knowledge Base
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of platforms offer "cool" or "innovative" ways to build and use a knowledge base, but Confluence offers the most intuitive functionality and robust 3rd party integrations. Out Team tested seven different platforms and we moved forward with Confluence because it offered everything we needed for the price. Overall, Confluence is easy to use, has a great UI, simple permission controls, and seamlessly ties into our other systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not I don't like, but like any system, there is a bit of a learning curve. I would like the top ribbon to have more options similar to the way MS Word has. The ribbon has some options, but I end up using work-arounds for some tasks that should be simpler.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A robust and easy-to-use knowledge base is essential for a growing company. Our new hire onboarding time has decreased since we've implemented Confluence, and the time employees spend looking for information has also gone down. Time is money and the less time employees spend looking for information, the more time employees have executing tasks.
Best document and process tracking software
What do you like best about the product?
I love the multiple templates that help various teams within the company. From meeting notes to processes, it's great that they're thinking about everyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I dislike about using Confluence
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process documentation, note-taking, collaboration across teams
Great for Organizing, Not for Searching
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to build new pages and strategically organize them within the greater structure of the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence is no Google. Words need to be spelled perfectly and all relevant keywords need to be searched separately in order to find the relevant resource.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outlining processes and linking resources that our team otherwise struggled to find outside of word of mouth.
Effective project management and information sharing platform
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great centralized location for information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many notifications and not enough ways to filter when/why you get notifications
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy to find answers when all information is organized and sorted in one place. It's like a wiki for projects
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a good idea of how you want to map out information before starting to use
It houses all of our essential info but its difficult to search/navigate
What do you like best about the product?
It houses all of our info and spells it out very clearly when you need to look up internal policies and procedures. It can house lots of information and be accessible across the entire company. It's also helpful when you receive notifications via email when someone updates a policy or wiki in general. It helps you understand and stay up to date - what policy was changed, at what time, and by who. Sometimes it can get annoying because when new people on board you can be bombarded with emails but you can manage notifications so that you don't receive those emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform needs to expand its search functionality - it can be very difficult to find the exact item you are looking for. In an effort to mitigate this I have created bookmarks for all pertinent info to my role within Google Chrome. Notifications can be a bit much at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having very clear rules of engagement + policies + sales ops procedures. It's beneficial so everyone knows the rules and operations in a virtual environment. It also helped a lo with onboarding in a remote environment. Cross department collaboration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a helpful tool to house lots of internal policies for a wide audience but make sure you are comfortable with the search/accessibility of info when using the platform. It can be frustrating trying to find the wiki you need for a specific situation which leads to people bookmarking each page they might need in the future which is inefficient.
Very good documentation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to start writing content and quickly publishing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited options for editing and decorations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mostly use it for documenting notes, guides, tutorials, etc.
Best for knowledgebase
What do you like best about the product?
Good for creating knowledge bases for internal use, wide range of free tools
What do you dislike about the product?
Lagging sometimes, tools are loading slowly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for creating knowledge base for the empoyees
Easy way to Share
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great way to share documents and project info with other members of your team. Team members can access how-to's and instructions rather than downloading documents. They can also see which documents were recently updated, making tracking changes easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Granting access to users can sometimes hinder you if you are out of the office and access is needed quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing processes and documents to all members of the team quickly. This gives us a way to make sure projects are completed even if a critical team member cannot participate.
