Great Multi-Tenant GRC Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of the multi-tenant platform provides us with a customizable solution for our use internally and externally with our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform offers so many features, I don't feel like we utilize the platform to it's fullest extent. This can seem overwhelming at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega provides a mature platform that we use for our clients to perform IT Security Assessments and IT Risk Assessments. The selection of industry frameworks allow us to be flexible to the needs of our clients.

What do you like best about the product?
We've found Apptega incredibly helpful for handling our cybersecurity and compliance needs. The interface is straightforward, and it comes with built-in frameworks like NIST, CMMC, and ISO, which make things so much easier. Automated tracking has really boosted our governance and risk management. We can map controls across different frameworks, keep tabs on progress in real-time, and whip up executive-level reports without any hassle. Their customer support team is also quick to respond and very knowledgeable. Thanks to Apptega, we've moved from being reactive to proactive in our cybersecurity efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apptega is a great platform, but the vendor risk management module could be easier to use when checking out third-party reports. Making it simpler to upload, access, and review these reports would really help teams dealing with lots of vendors. It would also be awesome if we could look at reports across all vendors to get an overall risk score. The vendor risk portal is good, but it could use some feature upgrades
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega makes handling cybersecurity and compliance a lot easier. It lets you work with different frameworks like NIST, CMMC, and HIPAA all in one place, mapping and tracking everything. You can see how your program is doing through dashboards and scorecards, which are great for keeping leadership in the loop. Plus, it keeps all your policy and control documents together, helps manage risks, and gets you ready for audits and reports. In short, Apptega brings order and efficiency to tasks that used to be messy and time-consuming.
Incredible Resource on Cybersecurity and Compliance News
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega has been a reliable resource for information, news, events and blog entries for relevant topics in the world of governance, risk, compliance, vendor management and other related topics that appeal to any cybersecurity professional that focuses on those areas within their organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
For some small-to-medium size organizations that have limited critical vendors and less compliance or regulatory requirements, certifications, or external audits on an annual basis, the platform has more options than can be fully utilized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our compliance team aware of ongoing events, news, issues and topics within the world of governance, risk, compliance, audits, third party risk and other areas of focus allow us to keep ahead of trends and plan accordingly to what fits our organization.
GRC Real Time Reports and price is right!

1. Crosswalks to multiple GRC Platforms.

What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, we have no "dislikes". We would like to see some Compliance "Use Cases" to become mainstream. CJIS Security policy is one that they and DSP are working on together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tedious tasks of inputing the correct answers into a Compliance Framework. APPTEGA Chat GBT is a huge help to our clients today.
Strong platform for security program management
What do you like best about the product?
Central location to manage all aspects of a security program and the ability to cross walk to other frameworks for simplified board and leadership reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Looking forward to increased integration with security platoforms for continues validation and would love to see the option for a trust center.

Tracking security program management over time. Central place to keep program details and track progress over time and generate simple reporting.

I would to see more MSSP co-branding elements within the reporting output.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and others can be overwhelming. Apptega simplifies this by offering prebuilt templates and crosswalking capabilities, eliminating duplicate work when complying with multiple standards.
Apptega allows organizations to populate framework data without the need to structure framework.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that after only a short 1 day introduction to the software, it is extremely easy to use and has intelligence built in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, this software has impressed me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega has an existing NIST & CMMC framework that we can build on very easily. It also allows us to expand our compliance very efficiently. Many of our team are dispersed, so the abililty for multiple team members to access the app and distribute tasks is paramount.

Excellent tool for program and compliance management
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega has made it easy to streamline my clients' security programs and communicate their posture in near real time. As an advisor and consultant, I am tasked with gathering information and making it useful for my clients. Apptega provides an interface for collecting information and comments, documenting risk, and managing tasks in relation to their specific controls. It saves me a great deal of time that was previously spent sifting through multiple file shares to create reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a marketplace or some kind of information regarding providers that can remediate specific controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega centralizes information relevant to different teams with different initiatives. By creating roles within the system, I no longer need to over-provide information to the technical teams or to the executives. I can easily set my tenants up to provide least privilege access and still communicate posture effectively to disparate teams.
Apptega makes compliance and audits a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega is great in that it cross-maps requirements from our various regulatory and financial audits, simplifying collection and entry, and it allows us to involve not only our information security staff, but also general IT, business unit employess and vendors in our audit processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if we could more easily separate uploaded files into individual audits or projects, as right now, the only easy separation is in using a naming scheme.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega simplifies our audit processes, by correlating and centralizing audit data, while applying it to all of our regulatory audits, so that we don't have to enter the same data individually, for each audit body.
