    Non-Profit Organization Management

Solid User-Friendly CRM

What do you like best about the product?
The CRM Contacts Management is solid and easy to use, and it has a good, straightforward processes for importing and exporting contacts, groups, and lists, and has ease of use for running reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality of the Fundraising Campaigns is limited and there are quite a few glitchy issues that have not been resolved when I've reached out to customer support. A couple of examples are: the design process for the campaign pages is frustrating because it does not provide you correct dimensions for artwork. The campaign pages that are created are not responsive to screen size at all which affects how the artwork is displayed, and the mobile webpages look VERY differnet from desktops/laptops webpages. Another frustrating problem is that you cannot duplicate peer-to-peer campaigns like you can for everyday-fundraising campaigns, which means you have to create the campaigns from scratch each time. Another issue we've noticed is that open rates for our emails through the Communications Email Blasts are far lower than they are when we use Constant Contact.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data management of our donors and segmenting/running reports.

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud-based, user-friendly, and easily customized, Bonterra's products are well-suited for organizations of all sizes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Peer-to-peer fundraising is an important strategy for many nonprofits and we look forward to being able to create teams for events such as walkathons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Encouraging donors to cover merchant processing fees feels easy with Bonterra, which is saving us money.

Bonterra Guided Fundraising Has Changed My Life and Brought Sanity to Fundraising

What do you like best about the product?
We had used Salesforce for years. Though Salesforce was very generous with providing software, it cost us thousands to get to a basic level. At the time, there were few options. We struggled for years. I then reviewed seven software options. Many were good but Bonterra had the best customer support, all the features we needed, and I was able to upload our donor list and complete the setup myself. It is easy to use, learn, and integrate into our everyday work. My staff members have taught themselves how to use the system and are comfortable using it frequently. We use it to send email blasts, videos, and all types of communication both internally and extrenally.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have not seen any downsides except we would like more integration of third party programs. For example, Super Bowl pools and NCAA brackets which are fun for our donors and veterans are not available for integration. Also, the ticket system does not work well with our golf outing. We do use it but we would love more features...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of use is the major problem solved. It affects everything. We now can manage our donors, communicate with them, and have a better handle on where we are in each campaign.

What do you like best about the product?
The access and use of the data management tool is the primary reason I stay with Bonterra (Network for Good). I cannot adequately express how helpful it is to have this tool and the associated resources. It makes tracking and communicating with my donors easy. I love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer relations, I generally do not hear from anyone until it is time to renew our contract. When I ask for a contact review meeting they are happy to give me 15 minutes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracks all of my donors and facilitates communication with them.

A CRM perfect for the Marketing Mind!

What do you like best about the product?
Bonterra Guided Fundraising (NFG) is a great platform if you want to have seamlessly branded donation pages, email and text integration, and ticket/event pages. It's extremely user friend with great customer service whenever challenges do arise. They offer webinars and helpful tips to engage donors with year end fundraising, #GivingTuesday, and welcome series for new donors. The dashboard provides quick access to data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that you could copy emails that are still in the design mode. They want you to create templates, but that feels like an extra step. The search/filter feature is not as dynamic as some other CRMs I have used before with only "any" or "all" instead of an and/or option. Videos (linked) do not play directly in emails, they click out to YouTube.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to do more accurate record keeping than former products we've used and is the payment gateway, which many CRMs are not.

What do you like best about the product?
Unlike other solutions, BGF actually is a fully integrated solution for nonprofits. They get that nonprofits run on shoestrong staff, stretched in a hundred directions. Their product is easy to use, fully integrated, without making staff jump through hoops to make one side speak to the other.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can see that from a major gift portfolio standpoint the database is not as easy to monitor your work and/or portfolio of relationships.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've worked at many different nonprofits, and also as a consultant for nonprofits, and in my opinion this is the best solution I've seen that fully integrates communication and fundraising into one platform. No importing/exporting from outside platforms, everything is consolidated in and one so easy to export any and all fields a data geek like me may want to export.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Bonterra is that iit is easy to use and a true one stop shop that intergrated your website, donor database and communications. We are a small organization and having one systems for all these functions has saved us time and helped us increase our funds.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have anything I do not like about the system. I am hopeful that Bonterra will continue to add AI functions, like donor follow up emails and more to the systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we used Bonterra we had lists of donors on different systems. For example, we had a good list on Mail Chimp but it wasn't always updated with new interests or new donors. Having all of these funcation on one systems is a game changer.

Every Fundraising Need in One Package

What do you like best about the product?
The platform offers all the elements needed for donor management, including a variety of communication platforms, and for fundraising efforts, such as event ticketing and silent auctions. We've used it all and couldn't be happier with the ease and functionality. Three of our staff use the platform every day, and we are very pleased with customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being charged for records with zero dollar donations. We have many subscribers, such as local media, who are not donors, but who receive our monthly digital newsletter; each of those non-revenue generating records increase the price of our Bonterra subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform functionality is one of the easiest to learn. We've had a bit of turnover since implementing in July 2020, but teaching new staff is not difficult. Plus the online help guides are excellent, and customer support is very responsive.

What do you like best about the product?
Having everything in one place has been a relief for us. We are a small organization, and we used to bounce between five different programs for forms, emails, database, donor management, and whatever else we need. Now it's all coordinated and in one accessible piece of software. Customer support has been wonderful, and having all the FAQ's and videos available has been extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The email builder can be a little clunky. There is a definitely a learning curve for it, and it is the one element that I schedule extra time for when I need to explain it to staff or board members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our contacts and donors are in one place now. The information is searchable and easily accessible. We can track donation amounts, campaigns, everything.

What do you like best about the product?
Importing of data from excel was far easier than i expected and navigating the system is very simple
What do you dislike about the product?
Donation made via check requires much more direct input than dontions made via the online portal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Donor management. We went from using an outdated Excel spreadsheet to managing donor informing in this system.
