Bonterra Guided Fundraising is the Awesome Sauce for nonprofits
What do you like best about the product?
What I love about Bonterra is the intuitive software for Donor Management. There are so many tools available from creating correspondence to easily stay in touch with donors to donor data to keep Board Members and Finance Teams up to date with current and year over year data. We also like that almost everything is included in the initial package. They also have a dedicated team to help you move your donor data to their system. Whether it's an excel spreadsheet or another system, their customer team is there to help! They also coach you through how to use the software and are quick to respond to customer questions. There are some fundraising tools not included, but those can be bundled in. It's a great product. We love it and use it daily!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know that there is a downside. There are plenty of features, overall it's easy to use. There are some features in writing thank you letters or correspondence that I am still not proficient at, but I'm getting there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us to organize our Donor Data in one place. We can now easily pull reports on donors and show financial data from donors more accurately.
Useful for donor management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity offered for newsletters, templates, and many resources for fundraising. It's very user friendly and didn't take much to transition from previous platforms we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we can also use this platform for outreach we do with our members. It's very limited in the sense that we cant make calls. We want to rely on this platform to communicate regularly with youth to remind them about events we have going on for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
mail newsletters. i'm not sure if its truly meeting our other needs though. i thought we could do more communications with this platform.
User Friendly Donor Management Platform Bonterra is Outstanding!
What do you like best about the product?
The layout of the pages is very intuitive and easy to learn. As a medium sized non-profit, we are able to capture our fundraising data and design outreach documents within the same software. Our data was converted from a prior platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The online customer service chat feature is not very responsive and it makes it difficult to resolve our issues at times. We did have some mistakes in the data transfer that took some time to resolve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We know they are working on additional ways to take donations, i.e. Paypal, Zelle, Apple Pay. We need these other ways to accept funds to serve a diverse population of donors that want to use these payment processes.
This database works well with tracking our donors - current or lapsed.
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service support has been very easy to work with and helpful with all my requests/needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reports are difficult to download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have any problems that a customer service representative has not been able to solv.
The best merger of development and marketing software out there
What do you like best about the product?
The software is user friendly, with a lot of information and features that allow for implementation of many development strategies. The tech support chat feature and customer support is quick and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data services and wealth screening good be more integrated,

Reporting has become much easier as well as tracking trends and moves management

What do you like best about the product?
I love the webinars you are offerinf. Also, how easy it is to navigate the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how its not in alphabetical order, or how it doesn't combine the households with active and lapswd donors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When i need to find donor information and donation payments made.
Streamlines fundraising efforts
What do you like best about the product?
My stakeholders had one place to go to donate, purchase tickets, and receive communications and updates about events.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost for not-for-profits. If we are needing funding the expense is also high

Hopefully the cost of the software
Great, comprehensive software for fundraising and donor stewardship.
What do you like best about the product?
I love that the software has both fundraising tools and support for donor stewardship in one place. I really like the communicaiton tools like newsletters, videos and text to give. I had all of these tools in different places and having them consolidated is a gamechanger.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't experienced a true downside yet. I do wish I had the option to send automated respnoses to new subscribers to my newsletter list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a better database solution and Bonterra Guided Fundraising has offer that and more. This is the first database that I have used that gives me tools and features that help me manage donors in an impactful way.
good platform but too expensive/lack of support

good features, good ability for creating fundraisers

lack of support, takes forever to get a response even when you want to cancel services, price too high, better platforms for price

It is excellent to work with because everything you need is right there in one place.
What do you like best about the product?
I especially like the campaign side of the software because it allows you to manage your events easily and effortlessly. I like the donor side because it keeps great data and you don't have to do anything. And it is so easy to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a small organization of only 4 and a half years in existence, i dislike the cost of the software. I would very much like to keep the system because it is more detailed and proficient than any other program i have used before but the cost is too much to fit into our budget to keep it on a monthly and permanent basis. I almost hate getting too acustomed to it and too familiar with it because i know that when my program comes to and end, i wont be able to keep it. It will consume too much of our monthly budget. If we had taken on a substanial number of new accounts and donors to compensate for it, I would consider keeping it. This is what i dislike about the software.

It allows us to have all of our data, donors, events and day to day business all in one place. That makes our work easier.
