Plus, the initial setup of the Phrase Localization Platform was very easy.

The option of accepting the assignment could be improved. I would love it if the option were visible on the first page, and once you click accept under the status, it should be accepted right there without taking you to another new page.

Phrase: An Agile, Practical CAT Tool on Desktop and Online

Phrase is by far the most agile and practical CAT tool, both the desktop app as the online version.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really miss the option that allows to propagate segments (and also ask for confirmation (optiona) to replace confirmed segments) into the previous confirmed segments, as this leads to inconsistencies when you make a change further in the document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Free for translators, so allows me to work without having to pay for CAT licences, and also it's lighweight, so I can work even with limited conectivty, like when I'm out.
Straightforward, Practical CAT Tool with Effective QA Verification
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is very straightforward, practical and easy to use for the ones who already know other CAT tools. The "copy source to target" and "insert tag" features make the work easier, and the QA verification is very effective.

The concordance search is not very practical; it would be easier to select the text and hit a key, like on other tools.

For me, as a freelance translator, having an online option is something I value, so I can work wherever I am. Phrase performs very well in any browser, something that is also very useful for me.

What do you like best about the product?
Especially on big jobs, it makes translating so much easier. The concordance search is particularly helpful for regular clients’ terminology, and the filters help ensure consistency. Machine translation also streamlines everything and is surprisingly accurate. When collaborating with agencies, I know the other translators on the same project are using the same TM as I am, which saves hours of liaising with PMs, and the AI speeds everything up. The pricing feels in proportion to the services it offers. It’s instantly intuitive and requires zero training, even for the IT-challenged. Reliable and fast, I don’t know how I would manage without it now.

Absolutely nothing, it has become a sixth sense.

My main use case for Phrase Localization Platform is to use it on a daily basis to translate and review translations from my colleagues or from my organization's employees. We do not have to experience the project design part, but from our experience as a linguist, Phrase Localization Platform is very user-friendly and the interface is very intuitive and easy to use.

What needs improvement?
I would like Phrase Localization Platform to improve by having the lock segments feature more handy. As a linguist, I sometimes need to forget about the few segments and focus on the rest. I would like to be able to exclude one hundred percent matches from the QA process when I do not have to check those segments.
Pulling terms from translation memories would make the workflow smoother.
Other improvements needed for Phrase Localization Platform include a ticketing system and improving the quality of response, as it is slow. I would like them to work on that.
Phrase Localization Platform integrates with other systems or tools in my organization and is designed to be a lean system, but that means things are clustered in weird groups, and a lot of trial and error is involved in getting the settings. If something goes wrong, the first-level support is very quick and has very fast answers, which are quite typical of the first-level support, essentially asking if you have switched it off and on yet. Anything more involved is challenging for support to address.
