Great account manager and reactive and caring support team
What do you like best about the product?
I loved out key account manager since the start, she was very responsive and always tried to find the best solution for the size and needs of our company. Also, while integrating TMS and creating automations the technical support team has always been super suportive, reactive and caring. When an issue could not quickly be solved they still kept us informed of what was happening and what they were doing to solve the problem.
I also like all the new AI features Phrase is launching, including the AI LQA, Language AI Portal and the AI engines that allow me to customize MT depending on the project and language.

What do you dislike about the product?
I like everything! Sometimes I feel the documentation in the help center could be a bit better structured, but in the end I always find what I am looking for!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of translation requests push between platforms (Strins<>TMS) > more efficiency.
Automation of translators assignment to jobs > more efficiency and better overview of pending requests.
AI engines > allow me to set different levels of formality per language and to apply my glossary automatically to MT.

Intelligent Language Translation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I use the Phrase TMS for English to Japanese translation of GitHub flavored markdown documents for my organization.
I like the Translation memory feature the best as this has been useful and reduced a lot of rework specially where we need to rework on existing documents.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are certain syntax, words that do not get rendered correctly. My translation team find it difficult to identify and differentiate between code syntax vs context.

A great browser-based CAT tool with some weaknesses
What do you like best about the product?
The organization of jobs and projects for my translators is quick and easy. Establishing new users and managing their access to the relevant jobs/projects is also simple and can help keep people's noses out of jobs they have no business in.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be quite difficult to get information on a function or feature you don't understand or have never used before. There is either no or not sufficient information on any given feature on the platform itself, and googling for help can be cumbersome, as googling "phrase" followed by anything usually brings up some sort of translation or dictionary. This means I have to write "memsource phrase" and then what I'm looking for, which surely was not the goal of the rebranding of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I'm working with freelance translators and do not share a local network with them, phrase eliminates the need of sending countless e-mails with files, reducing mail clogging. It also makes it easier to bring new translators into the project, like our company did with Italian last year. Also, as translation is only a small part of our company, phrase is a cheaper and slicker alternative for us, as a full CAT tool would be too expensive and expansive for our needs.
From freelancer to big agency
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase offers a great array of tools that simplify your work. No need to rework projects. MT is almost flawless making your work more interesting and enjoyable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many tools available for small customers. When being small you do not need to make use of all these great tools, they should be optional on a pay-per-use plan thus reducing your cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I basicaly use the platform to translate documents and have been using for over 5 years now, I could not do without it. It being online has helped me worked from anywhere with an internet connectio.
Very reliable and productive CAT tool. Fast quality output!
What do you like best about the product?
Some of the features are really nice. For instance, Autocomplete, Autopropagation and the possibility to insert whole sentences or terms from the MT (or TM) results using different shortcuts. It is also very user-friendly and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that, for instance, if for the same source text, you need to have different target translations, if you change one segment at one place, it is changed in all the instances that come after it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps you to keep consistency in the text, within the same text and from one text to the next (for instance, if you translate another text from the same customer later on, you have the possibility to search in the TM to see what was written).
A comprehensive and robust tool
What do you like best about the product?
From the perspective of a developer, Phrase allows a lot of flexibility to integrate translations into our flows. From the API, webhooks and other integrations, we can choose and tailor solutions that work best for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model might make it a bit harder to rollout licenses to developers, other platforms allow unlimited licenses for "view only" roles but not in Phrase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase allows the Engineering department in our company to manage translations. UX Writers can create new translations, and my team maintains certain documentation and some supporting tools to then help Engineers pull those translations into their projects in a structured format.
On the web, Phrase is very intuitive to use. The Phrase API capabilities are powerful and reliable.

Amazing
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to work with, the TM is very intuituve
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Everything works fine and I am happy with it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I did not have any problemas using the platform
Easy to use, self explanatory
What do you like best about the product?
I like the various shortcuts, the translation memory, the AI capabilities and the speed. It takes very little to get started. All functions are easy to find and configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is a little steep. I wish there was a way to add frequently used words that the platform mistakenly marks as "incorrect" to a personal dictionary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase is great for insuring consistency across content which is important for the brands I translate for.
A useful tool for localisation but does require a lot of manual work and corrections
What do you like best about the product?
The documentation for setting up and installing was straightforward and easy to follow. The project folder structuring keeps things neat. The Support team are usually able to help out with our enquiries (though it does take a pretty long time to receive a response).
What do you dislike about the product?
The changes to the Phrase platform UI isn't the best, the old UI was clearer and easier to find things, nowadays a lot of the features feel very hidden and unclear. We regularly run into formatting issues during exports of languages that we need to correct. Words like 'yes' and 'no' turning into boolean values ('true/false') within Phrase UI causes total confusion with our translators which again requires more manual correction from a developer. It's frustrating that during GitHub sync imports (which we use for our base language, English) that deletions aren't accounted for, so we have to manually go into Phrase every time to delete keys.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a tool we can use to manage multiple languages and allows our translators/agencies to provide translations that we can export into our codebase/website/apps.
Everything you need for efficient translation work
What do you like best about the product?
Filter function is very convenient for consistency in terminology
What do you dislike about the product?
Lots of features I don't need in my day-to-day work, but that's just me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing large amounts of terminology that is different from client to client
