Memsource review
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can use the TM but also search for specific terms. The QA is also helpful to spot errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
That we have to use external forms to report errors/issues, it would be better if we were allowed to use the comments. The LQA phase too is a little awkward - no score given.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using TM to help translate faster, therefore achieving a quicker output.
Working with Memsource is a very pleasant experience
What do you like best about the product?
The organization of the projects and the ease of viewing the status of all of them. I am also delighted with all the options it offers. Without a doubt I feel very comfortable working with Memsource.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any downside when using Memsource. Occasionally the service has experienced some slowdowns but fortunately, they have always been resolved fairly quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is our tool for game localization. Memsource offers us everything we need for this task. By having everything centralized, our productivity has improved significantly.
The most intuitive and user-friendly translation tool I have tried so far.
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is extremely smooth to work with. The termbase and translation memory are easily searchable, and the filtering function makes it easy to achieve consistency. And the fact that I can choose to open all files at the same time, or just one or a few files in the same project, is simply awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any downsides to this product, apart from a few glitches when new functions are being added and tested.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fact that Memsource is always compatible with the latest version of InDesign etc. means that I don't have to pay for costly upgrades to work on a specific assignment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compared to other translation tools I have tried, Memsource is far more intuitive and user-friendly. The fact that you log into a database instead of installing an actual application on your computer means that you always have access to all the latest updates, and don't need to make costly upgrades to be able to translate the latest versions of InDesign etc.
Best CAT Tool for Translation
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Memsource for a while now. It's a CAT tool that allows you to translate documents from one language to another, as well as proofread and edit them.
The interface is very easy to use and the software itself is very stable. I've never had any problems with it crashing or anything like that, so it's definitely reliable.
Memsource allows you to store your translations in their Translation Memory (TM) service so that it can be reused on other projects. This helps you save time by not having to translate the same words or phrases over again. The TM has more than 100 billion words available for translation!
Machine translation can be integrated into any project through the Memsource Translate or API. It’s great for getting an initial idea of how the document will look like in another language, but should always be proofread by a human translator before being sent to clients or published online.
The Memsource editor makes it easy for translators to work on projects within their browser by providing them with tools such as text highlighting, auto-suggested translations, and much more!

There is nothing that I don't like. However, it would be great if the prices of machine translation are decreased for freelance translators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we solve with Memsource is the issue of speed. It’s faster than anything else out there. You can get a translation back in minutes, and you can do it in a way that feels like you’re working on your own documents rather than having to jump between different applications.
We also love that we have so much control over the translation process. We can choose which language pairs we want to work on, and then we can also choose which professionals to work with for each project. This helps us get exactly what we need without having to worry about wasting time or money on things that don’t make sense for our business.
In terms of benefits, we are able to deliver better quality translations faster than ever before — resulting in happier customers and more revenue!

Although I've been working as a translator for years, I've never considered giving CAT a try, until I met Memsource! I learned about it from my tutor who is also a certified trainer with Memsource. I leveraged this platform across my semester to complete multiple individual and group translation projects. It helps me accumulate a large TM and rich terms that can be carried out in the future.

The most convenient feature to me is that it is a web-based platform, where you can store all your translations.
It is very useful for translation. It includes a lot of translation tools.
What do you like best about the product?
Translation tools and editing styles are the best factors of this software. It is very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Program interface design can be more soft and marked. Tool objects are a little bit transparent.

During the translation, I can see the draft text more effectively.

Easy to use for everyday translation jobs
What do you like best about the product?
The web-based CAT Tool is very easy to use for your typical everyday translation jobs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to find how to handle projects that are a bit more complex (i.e. translating a website or having a template for TEP). It does not help us and the vendors to generate invoices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can allocate translation jobs to the linguists in my team. The linguists can easily work with the CAT Tool.

It is a very easy-to-use web-based CAT Tool which allows you to quickly set up your translation agency and start sending jobs to linguists.
Memsource user for 3+ years
What do you like best about the product?
The use of Translation Memory and Termbase is great. The cloud format allows for work even on my mobile. I also use memsource for file and project management and all have been very enjoyable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe I just don't know how to do it efficiently, but during multiple file and project management it'd be great if I could open directly the work files and not having to go through a lot of browser tabs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The cloud format allows me to work via my mobile device, which is definitely a plus as I often receive small but sudden translation requests during my daily commute.
