A powerful cloud-based CAT tool that provides excellent support for online translation collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I use this tool as part of my university course in which students work in simulated translation bureaus on translation projects from real clients. This tool helps me to demonstrate to students various aspects of translation management in a reasonably simple and intuitive way: among others, creating projects, linking various tools (translation memory, terminology and MT), assigning different roles and tasks, monitoring progress within each project and, finally, delivering the translation product. Even users with no prior knowledge of CAT technology are quickly at ease thanks to this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating translation memories using the align function is fairly basic. Checking and correcting the exported result can be quite time-consuming if the source and target texts differ greatly in form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This cloud-based tool is an excellent solution to replace the previous way of working with CAT tools that had to be installed on various devices, which very often caused problems.
Perfect tool for CAT tool instruction and freelancing!
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud solution, user-friendly, intuitive
What do you dislike about the product?
More roles to be able to replicate other workflows
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CAT tools course. Students are engaged and motivated.
Great tool for translations
What do you like best about the product?
I like the intuitive interface, it is very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think everything is quite satisfactory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find it useful for creating glossaries and TMs. Also, QA section makes translation quality assessment easier.
Memsource is the most flexible CAT tool in the market
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible configuration, perfect for projects with multiple participants, great integration with Plunet, easy-to-read analysis, free online platform for freelancers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The TM management could be improved; issues with popping HTML tags in old / imported translation memories, the TB management suite is not as friendly as the rest.
It would be great to have a way to pretranslate the repeated segments (as in Studio).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long projects with short deadlines really benefit from Memsource's ability to share the real-time work of all the freelancers involved, so that everyone can benefit from the work of their colleagues.
I also love being able to add up to 10 TMs (and I would like even more).

Phrase is exactly the tool we needed.
What do you like best about the product?
Our team loves the collaboration. Finally, copywriters, designers and engineers can work together and own the quality of our content and localization as a group. Our designers love the integration with Figma. Phrase has really sped up our process. After trialing Phrase at ZAVA for a short time in one team other teams have been asking for the tool to be rolled out across the company
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor gripes with the tool have been:
- The Figma plugin can be slow at times and not as quick to set up with existing files as initially thought
- Uploading images to Phrase from Figma is great, but seems to cause the plugin to crash after 2 or 3 uploads, requiring you to log in again.
These are very small gripes in the total experience and our team would still fully recommend Phrase for managing and localising content and cross -functional collaboration.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously we were maintaining the localisation for our app in a Google Sheet. We never knew if the keys were up to date. it was hard to assign updates to a specific person and track the progress. Content editors had no context for the keys, e.g. where in the flow of the app the content would appear and under which circumstances. Phrase solve all of these problems for us
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Phrase is hard to beat for managing translations and content locaisation.
This will be my third time connecting Phrase with a software firm, I couldn't recommend more highly.
What do you like best about the product?
It gives us peace of mind that the content team can own the content and translations in full. There are no more errors when teams copy and paste over spreadsheets, reducing the time taken but also the number of errors we have.
It allows our QA to focus on functionality, not spelling mistakes as we have confidence in the content. Same for design, the figma integrations work really well. Github PR sync is essential and really boosts our productivity.

What do you dislike about the product?
Very little to dislike. I'm very happy with Phrase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our content management is more efficient, with fewer bottlenecks, higher quality output and less stress overall.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've used Phrase at my previous two roles and now at Epos Now. I recommend it highly.

Very Flexible and Customer Friendly Translation Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Component specific translation, seamless integration, developer friendly, documentation and customer support, notifications and customizations, delegation to regional translators
What do you dislike about the product?
Little bit initial training is required which could be done by sample projects by the company itself
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Region specific localization and translation needs
not so user-friendly in RTL locales
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating new projects with various file types and the ease of assigning jobs
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface isn't very user-friendly when it comes to RTL locales. It's much harder to use in strings with tags
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main purpose of using Memsource is for localization when working on multi-linguist jobs
A well-designed intuitive CAT tool for freelancers
What do you like best about the product?
The Memsource Desktop interface is quick to learn, visually clear and easy to use. The Help documentation is good - clear and full - and solves difficulties when I encounter them. And the import/export to Word function works well, which is just as well as I use it constantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Memsource hadn't disabled machine translation for the freelance Personal Edition. I was happy to pay for my MT characters. It means basically that Memsource has disinvested in its occasional freelancers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using a CAT tool of course makes your translation process more professional by managing it. That's really valuable.
