One of my favorite localization platform
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is still one of the most user-friendly localization platforms I’ve had the chance to work with from a translator’s perspective. It’s easy to learn compared to other tools, very stable, and rarely experiences bugs. I now use it regularly for post-editing and truly consider it the best online platform for collaborative work. The workflow is intuitive, which makes teamwork seamless, and I also appreciate the LQA feature — it's robust and well-structured, providing all the necessary tools for thorough quality assessment.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only concern at the moment is the fact that when I use it in Edge, I experience quite a few bugs, and I often have to reload the project. When I switch to Chrome, I no longer face those issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The collaboration with a larger team is simplified with Phrase. I also like the fact that as a translator, I do not have to buy the licence since it's the agency that take cares of it.

Try it out. You won't be dissapointed.

I think the translator interface could look simpler

We are translating both our iOs and Android apps with Phrase into 4 different languages
It is the most basic and easy to use CAT tool I have ever worked with

It is user-friendly. Learn to use very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It crashes very often, if your internet connection is not very good don't expect much cooperation from Memsource, many of its functions won't appear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that it is simple. The functions it has are the most basic and essential for translating, editing, or proofreading.
I like the facility to search in memory, which at the bottom shows the preview of the file you are working on, which helps me a lot to guide me and contextualize where exactly I am working in the document.

If you are new to using CAT tools, I recommend Memsource as one of your first options to enter this world.
Memsource is an invaluable tool for CAT tools instruction at university level
What do you like best about the product?
CAT tools teaching at university level has become an integral part of teaching translation. Memsource offers excellent academic licenses, and it is cloud-based.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I didn't like. It is an excellent tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Students learn CAT tools quickly thanks to Memsource, and can access it from any computer, from home, or at university, which is a huge benefit.
Easy to use. Can work from anywhere.
What do you like best about the product?
I prefer Memsource over Trados because there is no need to purchase or download any software. I can work from anywhere as long as I can securely access the Internet. Memsource app is also nice to have when I don't have my laptop with me.

It would be nice if it allowed me to work offline too.

Translation memory helps me a lot. I can refer back to the previous translations and have consistency.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's easy to use. The appearance is clear, it's in the cloud so you don't have to worry about storing files and TMs

I am not sure yet how to manage the TM and TB myself, I can work only if the PM manages these

All my files are there when I need them. I didn't have to go through challenging training courses to learn to use it.

So much easier to use, no need for challenging trainings, everything is stored in the cloud, easy to manage projects

I love the memory feature and easy-to-use UI.

The product sometimes doesn't work that well, especially when the Internet is poor.

Memsource helps me with the translation business. Easy to translate and proofread the content as needed. It's so good.

The most helpful thing about Memsource is that it allows you to work from anywhere, even from your phone.

The least helpfuk thing is that it does not have a termbase for specific words.

I can accept and translate documents from anywhere at any time.

Its simple way to handle projects. Any beginner can use it without any problems or complications. Also for reviewers it is a very good tool to overlook the material.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am working on memsource since 7 years and really till now i find no matters to dislike it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I got the following benefits: translation, revision, overlooking the progress in every task, a real sight in the final target file, updating the online TM. All these benefits made it easier for me to overcome the complications of the other CAT tools or even the cloud tools.

I recommend every linguist or translator to try to use it and get the benefits of Memsource.

What do you like best about the product?
Translation memory. The translations requested by the program are helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmm. A bit complicated to use. The free version is not very useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I translate with Memsource. Some principals require that the translations must be made in Memsource. Well, in some cases I am more productive when using Memsource but in other cases I feel it is easier to translate in Word.
