Finally an RFP tool that doesn't feel like extra work
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I appreciate most is how the AI actually understands context. It doesn't just spit out generic answers it pulls from our content library and generates responses that make sense for the specific question. The confidence score is a nice touch too, so we know which answers need a closer look and which ones are good to go. It's saved us hours on every single RFP.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing major. Early on there were a couple of small features we hoped for, but the team has been consistently rolling out updates and adding exactly what users ask for. It's clear they're paying attention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of starting from scratch every time we get an RFP. Now we have a system that remembers everything, learns from our content, and helps us respond faster and more consistently. That means we can focus more on the actual strategy and less on the repetitive writing.
Seamless Collaboration and Great Integrations for Proposal Teams
What do you like best about the product?
The real time collaboration features are fantastic. Being able to assign tasks, leave comments, and track changes directly within familiar document formats (like Word) has eliminated the back and-forth email chaos we used to deal with. Plus, the seamless integrations with tools like Slack, Salesforce, and Google Drive mean it fits perfectly into our existing workflow without disruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
The self updating content library is brilliant, but it did require some initial setup and organization to tailor it perfectly to our products and use cases. Once that was done, however, it has been effortless to maintain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Steerlab solves the major problem of fragmented communication during the proposal process. It centralizes everything content, tasks, and feedback in one place, making collaboration between PreSales, Security, and Proposal teams incredibly smooth. This has not only saved us time but also reduced errors and ensured that our best expertise is reflected in every final submission.
Steerlab Automates 90% of Security Questionnaires and Keeps RFPs Moving in Slack
What do you like best about the product?
I lead PreSales at a company and we get bombarded with security questionnaires daily. Steerlab handles about 90 percent of them automatically which saves my engineers from answering the same SOC2 and GDPR questions over and over. The bias detection feature is also useful it flags when our language might be too vague or unsubstantiated. Integration with Slack means I get notified when a new RFP comes in and can assign it instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI suggests answers that are close but not exactly right for the question phrasing. I still need to review everything which is fine but it is not 100 percent hands off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved the engineering bottleneck. My security team used to spend 10 hours a week on questionnaires and it took them away from product work. Now Steerlab handles the first pass and they only review exceptions. We cut response time from 5 days to under 24 hours.
Zero rewriting needed on most answers
What do you like best about the product?
The AI output is good enough to submit with minor edits on about 80% of questions. For the remaining 20% it either flags uncertainty or gives me source options to work from. Massive time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
No capability to generate slides from completed responses. For client facing summaries we still build decks from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rewriting every AI generated draft from scratch because the quality was too low to use. Steerlab actually produces usable content out of the box.
Designed for bid managers
What do you like best about the product?
MostRFP software feels like it was built for sales teams and adapted for proposals as an afterthought. Steerlab clearly understands what bid managers need day to day. The workflows and tracking features prove it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Word exports are reliable in general but one heavily formatted template gave us trouble. The team shipped a patch for this recently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running a serious bid operation on tools that werent built for it. Spreadsheets and project boards and email threads are not a proposal management system.
Quick, adaptable, and with strong support
What do you like best about the product?
Support, speed, learning ability of the tool
What do you dislike about the product?
A few challenges with uploading large files, no manual revision of responses, no assignment of selected files for answering
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Do not understand the question
Fast Feedback-Driven Development, but RfP Review Workflow Needs More Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
- Fast development based on feedback
- Tracking of answers (review, non reviewed)
- Confidence level of answer (general idea)
- Tracking of answers (review, non reviewed)
- Confidence level of answer (general idea)
What do you dislike about the product?
- it happens that the answers are based on replies from other RfPs where the questions where a bit different, thus, the answer in steerlab goes down a road which is not the right one
- Confidence level seems to be based on length of answer
- the whole "RfP" needs to be "Reviewed" so the answers go back into the pool. However, I / we work a bit different. Thus, many RfP projects are not finalized in steerlab. IT would be helpful, that projects which are not finalized within a certain time period, will pop up with the user by asking "if the project is done" and the answers are going into the knowledge hub

helps people new in the organization to answer rfps with more confidence and less time for manager to review
one stop shop for rfp knowledge hub + project orchestration

Full lifecycle in one place
What do you like best about the product?
From the moment an RFP hits our inbox to the final submission its all managed inside Steerlab. Import and draft and review and collaborate and export. No gaps in the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Word support handles most scenarios well but certain edge cases with complex formatting still need a quick manual touch. Recent update may have addressed this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A fragmented process where different stages of the RFP lived in different tools. Things fell through the cracks constantly.
Quick responses to tenders, but occasional problems with question recognition
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly respond to important points from tenders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the questions in the tenders are not recognized correctly, and I have to answer the entire question again because otherwise the context doesn't fit at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better German formulations. Sometimes the sentences are formulated awkwardly.
Trustworthy AI That Knows Its Limits and Cites Its Sources
What do you like best about the product?
I trust Steerlab because the AI knows its limits. It doesn’t stretch to answer something it shouldn’t and it always shows you where it’s pulling information from. That restraint is more valuable than answers that might seem correct but aren’t
What do you dislike about the product?
Slack approval actions are lightweight. You can ask questions in slack but can’t triggers complete workflows like in the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality control nightmares from AI tools that generated plausible but wrong answers. We caught mistakes in submitted documents twice before switching to Steerlab.
