Compliance team actually likes this one
What do you like best about the product?
Our compliance officer blocked every Ai tool we put in front of her, until Steerlab. The source citations and the fact that it won't generate unsourced content were what finally won her over. That's not a small thing when you've been hitting a wall at every turn.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Chrome extension works on most portals, but we ran into two it didn't support. To be fair, the team added one almost immediately after we flagged it, and the second is already in progress. Responsive support goes a long way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every proposal used to go through a week long compliance review because nobody trusted AI-generated content and honestly, fair enough. Now the team spot checks instead. Because they can verify the sources themselves, the trust is already built in.
The Slack bot is my secret weapon
What do you like best about the product?
I use it multiple times a day during prospect calls. Ask a question, get a sourced answer in seconds, it's like having our entire knowledge base on speed dial. For real-time lookups, it's hard to beat.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's great for quick lookups, but running a full approval cycle inside Slack isn't really there yet. If that were possible, it could seriously speed up turnaround times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Live calls used to mean scrambling, digging through Confluence pages, shared drives, old email threads just to find one answer. The bot made all of that instant. No more putting a prospect on hold to hunt something down.
Fully lifecycle in one place
What do you like best about the product?
Steerlab handles the entire RFP process end to end from the moment one lands in your inbox all the way through final submission. Import, draft, review, collaborate, export. Everything lives in one place, with no gaps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Word support is solid for most use cases, but edge cases involving complex formatting sometimes still need a quick manual fix. That said, a recent update may have already sorted this out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before this, the RFP process was scattered across multiple tools, each stage living somewhere different. Things constantly fell through the cracks. Steerlab brought it all under one roof.
Excel Import that doesn't break
What do you like best about the product?
I threw a 500 question Excel file with merged cells and multiple tabs at Steerlab expecting it to choke. It imported everything perfectly and even mapped the columns correctly. No other tool we tested managed that.
What do you dislike about the product?
No presentation generation feature. After big RFPs we often need a summary deck and that part is still fully manual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hours lost reformatting Excel questionnaires into something our old tool could actually read. Steerlab just takes the original file and works with it.
Finally an RFP tool that doesn't feel like extra work
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I appreciate most is how the AI actually understands context. It doesn't just spit out generic answers it pulls from our content library and generates responses that make sense for the specific question. The confidence score is a nice touch too, so we know which answers need a closer look and which ones are good to go. It's saved us hours on every single RFP.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing major. Early on there were a couple of small features we hoped for, but the team has been consistently rolling out updates and adding exactly what users ask for. It's clear they're paying attention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of starting from scratch every time we get an RFP. Now we have a system that remembers everything, learns from our content, and helps us respond faster and more consistently. That means we can focus more on the actual strategy and less on the repetitive writing.
Seamless Collaboration and Great Integrations for Proposal Teams
What do you like best about the product?
The real time collaboration features are fantastic. Being able to assign tasks, leave comments, and track changes directly within familiar document formats (like Word) has eliminated the back and-forth email chaos we used to deal with. Plus, the seamless integrations with tools like Slack, Salesforce, and Google Drive mean it fits perfectly into our existing workflow without disruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
The self updating content library is brilliant, but it did require some initial setup and organization to tailor it perfectly to our products and use cases. Once that was done, however, it has been effortless to maintain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Steerlab solves the major problem of fragmented communication during the proposal process. It centralizes everything content, tasks, and feedback in one place, making collaboration between PreSales, Security, and Proposal teams incredibly smooth. This has not only saved us time but also reduced errors and ensured that our best expertise is reflected in every final submission.
Steerlab Automates 90% of Security Questionnaires and Keeps RFPs Moving in Slack
What do you like best about the product?
I lead PreSales at a company and we get bombarded with security questionnaires daily. Steerlab handles about 90 percent of them automatically which saves my engineers from answering the same SOC2 and GDPR questions over and over. The bias detection feature is also useful it flags when our language might be too vague or unsubstantiated. Integration with Slack means I get notified when a new RFP comes in and can assign it instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI suggests answers that are close but not exactly right for the question phrasing. I still need to review everything which is fine but it is not 100 percent hands off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved the engineering bottleneck. My security team used to spend 10 hours a week on questionnaires and it took them away from product work. Now Steerlab handles the first pass and they only review exceptions. We cut response time from 5 days to under 24 hours.
Zero rewriting needed on most answers
What do you like best about the product?
The AI output is good enough to submit with minor edits on about 80% of questions. For the remaining 20% it either flags uncertainty or gives me source options to work from. Massive time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
No capability to generate slides from completed responses. For client facing summaries we still build decks from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rewriting every AI generated draft from scratch because the quality was too low to use. Steerlab actually produces usable content out of the box.
Designed for bid managers
What do you like best about the product?
MostRFP software feels like it was built for sales teams and adapted for proposals as an afterthought. Steerlab clearly understands what bid managers need day to day. The workflows and tracking features prove it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Word exports are reliable in general but one heavily formatted template gave us trouble. The team shipped a patch for this recently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running a serious bid operation on tools that werent built for it. Spreadsheets and project boards and email threads are not a proposal management system.
Quick, adaptable, and with strong support
What do you like best about the product?
Support, speed, learning ability of the tool
What do you dislike about the product?
A few challenges with uploading large files, no manual revision of responses, no assignment of selected files for answering
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Do not understand the question
