What do you like best about the product?
I have a lot of experience vetting and purchasing new products, and this was one of the best implementation experiences I've had. Hamza & Tash were never pushy and went above and beyond to answer my questions and show me how things worked so that I could recommend the product to our management with confidence. The product itself is a great fit for our orgainization. We are growing the number of teams using Salesforce on a daily basis, so we need a backup solution that can not only help us in case of disaster, but also to help us sort out the issues caused by a lot of people working with mission critical data.
What do you dislike about the product?
One confusing aspect that I had to describe in detail to our approvers was the minimum order pricing model. It's not "bad" and Own is very upfront and transparent about it. It just seems complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we increase the number of folks using our Salesforce instatnce, and the complexity of the processes we're using it for we needed a robust, daily backup system. This will help in case of disaster, and, given the granular restore capabilities, it will help with troublshooting the human error and data governance issues that alway come up.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, ease of integration, while still being a complete a robust product. I am able to compare changes down to the individual field level and restore exactly what I need when necessary.

I've found Own to be super responsive, no downsides

What do you like best about the product?
Best Thing about Own, is its comprehensive and automated approach to data protection for Salesforce. Below are some of the best features I like most about.
Automation: The ability to schedule daily automated backups ensures that data is consistently protected without manual intervention, reducing the risk of human error.
Reliability: Consistently reliable backups mean that data is always available for restoration when needed.
User-Friendly Interface: The intuitive design of the user interface makes it accessible for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
Robust Support: The availability of dedicated support representatives and comprehensive documentation ensures that users have the help they need when they need it.
And the best part is there Community and Resources, including forums and user groups, offers additional support and insights from other users.
What do you dislike about the product?
For highly complex data environments, the recovery process might require advanced configuration and expertise and In some cases, recovering large or highly intricate datasets can be time-consuming and require meticulous planning to ensure a successful restoration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically we are using Own for backup, recovery, and replication services, ensuring that Salesforce data is protected against accidental loss, corruption, or malicious attacks and understanding Own and its impact on Salesforce data protection empowers me to provide better support, offer informed recommendations, and stay relevant in the evolving landscape of cloud data management tools. This knowledge ultimately enhances my ability to assist users effectively and ensure they can leverage the best tools for their data protection needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Own is very easy to use, was easy to implement and integrate with Salesforce. The Archiving has saved us a considerable amount of money in Salesforce storage fees.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love if they could utilize the Salesforce integration user. And would love some kind of Trigger switching to allow easier archiving of Salesforce CPQ and Billing objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it solves our backup and disaster recovery projects, and archiving of massive data.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of implementation and ease of use allows for a quick safety net against data corruption and human error. Customer support is EXCELLENT.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of features and names of those features recently changed causing a little internal frustration amonst our team, but that is on our end...not Own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to backup and quickly restore data (and metadata) due to an ever changing Salesforce Org.

We have been a customer for several years now, their solutions continue to be top-notch. Upgrades have always been seamless, and they keep their feature roadmap moving forward. Easy to use, cost-effective backup and archiving solution. Their tools definitely help my organization ensure we maintain ISO 27001 certification.

The best part has been their suppor teams: Recently we had an emergency issue on Superbowl Sunday of all days in which their solution became inaccessible after a Salesforce instance migration. Their support team contacted me within an hour - on a Sunday night - to resolve the issue and get us working again before Monday morning.
What do you dislike about the product?
They do have a minimum number of users required, which exceeds the number of actual users we have in our organization today. For our company, we do feel we are still getting strong value for our dollars even if we have more licenses than needed, though this would not be the case for every organization.

There is the capability to export your archived data to other data sources, which is helpful to present archived data for reporting or other needs. While backup restoration does not take long, we have discovered that the CSV export format takes an enormously long time to complete. Instead, we use the export to cloud storage option, which has automation to keep things up-to-date and performs faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Own solution solves:
- Archiving of data from our Salesforce system to allow us to manage data storage costs
- Provides cost-effective backup capabilities (including data, files, and metadata)
- Backups and archives are easy to search, and users have self-serve capabilities to restore archived data back in to the main instance
- We use their Sandbox Seeding tool to refresh our sandboxes with production data while maintaining critical object relationships, so we have a valid test environment
- Their Anonymizer tool is critical to anonymize that production data when seeded in sandboxes, to ensure sensitive PII data from production is not found in sandbox environments.
