Easy Asset Discovery and Fantastic Onboarding with Bynder
What do you like best about the product?
The filter structure within Bynder makes it incredibly easy to find assets, especially compared with relying on a folder structure. I also really like the preview function, along with related assets and collections—overall, everything is straightforward to locate. Also, Bynder Express and the support onboarding process are fantastic too - special mention to Oceane Muroni who was very helpful and clearly guided us through the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren’t many, but having more best-practice examples from similar industries would have been helpful for the taxonomy and derivatives. We did see a couple, but more would've been great. Also, there are a few add-ons, like CX Omnichannel, which look fantastic but come at an extra cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It serves as a single source of truth for the latest, approved brand assets, helping both our internal and external teams stay consistent with brand collateral. Assets are easy to find and use, which should hopefully lead to stronger brand health over time.
Powerful, Flexible DAM with Excellent Onboarding and AI Search
What do you like best about the product?
Bynder is an incredibly capable platform. The interface can be as simple or as complex as you need it to be, which has worked well for our team. With the number of product combinations we manage, it was important for us to tag everything in our images accurately and build automations that support the tagging workflow. Bynder offered those capabilities, and our onboarding agent, Skye Silver, helped build everything out expertly. With over 8,000 assets currently in the bank, the natural-language AI search has also performed extremely well, making it quick and easy to find the right assets, and integrate them into the platforms we use everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of Bynder’s customization options feel a bit archaic and out of date. For instance, they advertise using FontAwesome icons, but they only support up to version 4 (they’re on version 7 now). Reordering SmartFilters is also clunky: instead of being able to drag and drop them like objects, you have to use a numbering system. On top of that, you have to save each individual filter every time you make a change, which makes even small adjustments feel unnecessarily tedious. It also might just be our portal (because of the sheer volume of assets) but the speed of the portal can feel a bit sluggish at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest benefit of Bynder for my team is the time it saves us. We’re no longer being asked to track down and resize an asset from two years ago for someone in marketing; they’re fully capable of finding it themselves and downloading exactly what they need. It's all about self-service for us.
Customizable and User-Friendly Asset Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really love how Bynder allows me to build out my own custom taxonomy, which makes tagging and filtering assets a lot more user-friendly and helps me find what I'm looking for easily. I also love the ability to create collections, share them externally, and manage those collections by adding expiration dates or deciding if they should be public or downloadable. This gives us a lot of flexibility in sharing our assets. I really enjoy the AI search feature, which lets me search using common language and finds relevant assets through the custom tagging AI tool, reducing manual work. I also enjoy the upload presets that allow me to preload settings. I really enjoy the user interface as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really enjoy the user interface, but I think there are, like, some small buggy things that could be improved. For example, when you're setting expiration dates on collection links, if you're trying to toggle through the months the height of the calendar changes, so you have to, like, move your cursor for each month. Which is a little annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I store and share creative assets internally and externally using Bynder, which includes our logos, branding, and sales materials.
Effortless Content Management at Scale
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy being able to create and manage content at scale, which makes it much easier to stay organized as things grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s kind of hard to learn at first, and the add-ons are pricey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps organize and store assets.
A Great Hub for All Our Marketing Images
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great place to house all important images that our Marketing needs/uses
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a learning curve to learn the platform and it is expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a centralized location for images/video that anyone on my marketing team can reference
Tagging Made Easy, Seamless Navigation
What do you like best about the product?
Our team really likes Bynder's ability to tag content clearly and consistently, which makes a big difference. It's also nice that there's no folder structure. This makes it easy for our advisors and clients to quickly navigate to the content pieces they're looking for. The lack of folder structure helps because typically folder names may not align exactly with the content they contain. Using tags allows us to accurately identify all content pieces, and it helps our clients and advisors quickly navigate to those pieces through accurate tags rather than complex or historical knowledge folders. Our onboarding experience was great as well, with Sandra and Grace doing a wonderful job guiding us clearly and setting expectations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to report
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Bynder as a content DAM to organize and track content efficiently. Its tagging system and absence of a folder structure help us and our clients navigate content accurately and quickly.
Seamless Onboarding, Robust Asset Management
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Bynder's ability to help us build our taxonomy from the ground up, which allowed us to understand the infrastructure of our asset bank better. It's great to control assets and users more effectively, and the dedicated account manager is very responsive. The onboarding process was really easy and thorough, thanks to Andrea and Grace who listened to our pain points. I like how the asset bank is a flat structure, so there’s no need to fumble around with folders within folders. The many available integrations are something we're looking forward to exploring, especially the Shopify integration. Adding users is easy, and the mass upload feature worked really well. I find the impersonation tool within user management and presets within asset loading incredibly helpful, as they save our Asia team a lot of time by not having to enter metadata.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that in the supporting documents that can be uploaded into a new brief there was a quick view function, but we have to fully download each document, which is just an added step.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder helps us understand and build our asset bank infrastructure, control assets and users better, and provides a responsive dedicated account manager. I appreciate the easy onboarding, flat asset bank structure, user management tools like impersonation, and presets that save time on metadata.
Simplified Tagging, Needs Improved Search
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the tagging and organization in Bynder is a simpler exercise than with other competitors, making it intuitive so anyone on the team can find assets fast. I also appreciate the ability to share kits and collections, which keeps stakeholders from drowning in files they don't need, and allows them to search by any term imaginable. Once we passed the knowledge curve, the setup was incredibly easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search can be inconsistent and seem to take its own shot on things and not be super accurate. Also, the ability to crop and resize images could be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder helps in sharing and organizing creative assets. It provides flexible searchability across teams, simplifies tagging and organization, and allows sharing kits to prevent stakeholders from dealing with unnecessary files.
Looks Better, Easier to Design, and Simple to Navigate
What do you like best about the product?
Everything - we had an old dam and an old hub and this whole experience just works better for our team, but also for our dealers. it looks better, it's easier to design on the back end, it's easier to navigate on the front end.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only downside would be design limitations on the landing pages, but we are working around them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to replace our old dam and hub. We had an outdated hub that was never up to date, difficult to add to, we had no way of customizing or adding/changing things. The dealers on the front end hated it as well. I did'n't mind our dam that much, but it was attached to our parent company and has its own flaws.
