What do you like best about the product?
Fairly intuitive user interface, Easy to set up project templates for recurring projects. Easy to create groups for workflow purposes. Fairly customizable. It looks like there's also Drupal integration, which we'll be looking forward to trying out when we launch our new site.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sends email notifications for every comment, sometimes resulting in excessive GatherContent emails. Setting up new projects can seem daunting at first. Certain auto-formatting options that are available in word are missing, makes a few things a little more manual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management across multiple teams without sending tons of emails and multiple versions of word docs. Version control seems to have improved. Content can now be found in one central repository, vs hunting down several emails with different pieces.
We have been very satisfied with the basic Bynder portal.
What do you like best about the product?
Bynder's interface is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Staff have found it intuitive and easy to navigate through the search and filter features to find what they need.
What do you dislike about the product?
We recently added the Bynder Guidelines feature. This feature is not as intuitive - either for the admin or the end user. We hope Bynder will add additional functionality to make this tool easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing assets, searching and finding assets, organizing assets. The benefits we've realized include better asset integrity, time saved finding the asset needed, better use of assets because they are easily accessible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great interface for first-time DAM users.
Bynder supports our visual brand
What do you like best about the product?
We love how search and filters work best. But we also like the design of the platform; its clean, intuitive and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only being able to review (50) images at a time from the waiting room.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to globally have one space for our photography, finished video and marketing materials while creating efficiencies between image creators, graphic designers and our audience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are lots of DAM products on the market, know your audience and features needed. The modules that Bynder provides helps expand the user experience, but the integration from a UX perspective could use some work.
Fantastic asset management system
What do you like best about the product?
Bynder have absolutely fantastic customer service, and very much hold your hand every step of the way - from designing and setting up the system, to implementing it within your organisation. There is so much scope for creativity, and you can customise the system to have it exactly as you require.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike here, takes a little while to sort out teething problems - and users never end up using the system exactly as intended - but that's all part of the process, and bynder are very responsive and helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In terms of how it has affected our workload - it has shaved off at least 5 hours per week finding and sharing assets with the rest of the organisation - leaving the designers to do more design work!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it!

What do you dislike about the product?

> As you use more Bynder tool and add modules, the pricing becomes expensive in comparison with alternatives

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's extremely important to first understand what problems you wish to solve in your business and if a Digital Asset Management (DAM) tool will be able to solve that problem, independently of the vendor. If a DAM tool does solve your problem, then don't only look at features, but also culture and where the vendor is headed. I believe Bynder is on the right track, with an innovative approach to branding and the tool is extremely easy to use.
Review of Bynder DAM software
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use, intuitive, good support
What do you dislike about the product?
no push notification or pause upload
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder has helped us to capture and utilize all our digital assets more effectively and efficiently and enhance our ability to share and collaborate with different teams across our global organisation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely encourage people to discuss their needs with Bynder and also to check what is coming up on their roadmap.
Easy to configure and customize
What do you like best about the product?
The admin interface and capabilities are well beyond any other DAMs I've used. Bynder offers an incredible amount of customization, and so much of that is in the admin's hands as opposed to relying on the product or vendor. This speeds up implementation and general management since you do not need to wait on another party to do some of the set-up. So much of the management of Bynder is in your hands that you really feel in control.
The level of customization and the modules and add-ons really make the portal feel like your own. Many users didn't realize they were using Bynder; they just thought it was a website, since the URL can be customized, too.

What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of customization options can be overwhelming. If there is something specific you need setup in your portal, it is almost certain that it can be done. Bynder support is available to help, and their knowledge base has all the answers you need. But when first implementing your portal, the blank canvas in front of you can seem overwhelming since there are so many options and settings.
Once it's set-up, there are regular feature enhancements. A dedicated administrator is a must because the tool is always improving. And just like with implementation, there are so many features and options, it can feel overwhelming.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder is a great way to centralize assets and bring related processes together into a single tool. Asset management, content creation, proofing, workflows, and content delivery can be so siloed at organizations, even though they are related and dependent on one another. Bynder helps bring it all together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start small and focus on one aspect or you may feel overwhelmed. Bynder does a lot and solved a lot of issues for us, but we were most successful when we took a step back and created a detailed gameplan for the implementation. You cannot solve every issue over night!
Great tool, very easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
-team members globally are able to use the tool
-branded and professional looking to share files externally
-branded and professional looking to share files externally
What do you dislike about the product?
No folders to find files, have to rely on how well others have tagged their projects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-organize files, save time in the future hunting for files that were worked on months before
-one central place to be used globally

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great option for digital asset management. Very modern and easy to use. Lots of tool tips to help new users - therefore no training required.
A very flexible and customisable DAM with great support
What do you like best about the product?
As an admin, I love the fact that I can make a lot of adjustments to the system myself from metaproperty management to design adjustments without always having to reach out for a designer. If at times I do need further help, the support staff is incredibly responsible and knowledgable.
What do you dislike about the product?
As adjustable as things are, Bynder seems pretty strict with group permissions and I would personally prefer if more adjustments could be made on a user-to-user basis rather than it always affecting an entire group of users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a gallery, we're dealing with a huge amount of hi-res image material being shared between employees, collectors, journalists and publishers. To have one single access and share point where we can not only host our material but also track when and who it's been shared with is absolutely crucial.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I believe that the more assets you have, the more beneficial Bynder's organisation and structure will be to you. For really small databases something more basic might do.
I (Mostly) Heart Bynder
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of the Bynder's DAM module is that it has empowered our marketers to be able to find things on their own, see the brand guidelines, and know what is already "brand approved" in one place. By having featured collections, we can present new and interesting materials that others may not know about in an easy to find way that gets the new assets in our stakeholders hands more quickly than ever before.
The best part of the Bynder's Workflow module is how intuitive and easy it is for our stakeholders and legal teams to review, annotate and provide feedback in a timely manner to our creative team. With the feedback easily documented, the creative team can more easily make changes or have chats with the stakeholder to solve a problem or get a question answered quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the DAM module could work more seamlessly with the workflow module, so it is easier to transition finished projects into the asset library (DAM) once they are completed in the workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had teams working on, developing, and keeping completed assets in silos. Final files were in emails, on desktops, different servers and with no real way to centralize our marketing materials and efforts, and no brand control over what was out there for people to use. Now we can audit what is available, and approve what others upload to the the DAM. With one central location for people to find files, guidelines, images and inquire about projects, we are much more efficient in providing people what they need, and ensuring brand compliance.
