Great product, excellent onboarding & customer service
What do you like best about the product?
We recently implemented Bynder, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. So far, we have implemented the core asset portal, the studio, and the guidelines products.
We have a really complicated business structure, so it felt daunting to have to establish taxonomy and use cases for our needs. However, the customer success team was excellent: sharing best practices, and being willing to test things out with us. Once we got our plan together, the building itself was really straightforward because the platform is very user friendly and modern. As a result: once launched our team members have been able to jump into the platform with almost no training, and use it to access their needs.
There’s a lot of great features like bulk uploads and AI meta-tagging, that really helped catalog things faster as we transitioned. And the various modules, like studio and guidelines are exactly what we needed to enhance the efficiency of creative delivery, as well as govern brand consistency.
The platform is a win for us, and the flow of training/onboarding and building was well-structured, ensuring we were set up for success from the beginning. Big shout out to our key partners Bjorn and Juliette. Their expertise, support, and good humor made all the difference! :)

What do you dislike about the product?
Our overall experience with Bynder has been highly positive. Some minor things that we’ve noticed that leave room for improvement:
There are a bunch of different product modules that can be connected to the core DAM portal itself, but don’t necessarily talk to each other. Which doesn’t impact the effectiveness of each. But would be even more efficient if they all talked to each other.
Sales/RFP Experience: Overall was very friendly and informative. Only feedback is that given the extensive capabilities of the platform, its challenging to grasp all the features through demos and PDFs alone. It would have been incredibly helpful to have access to a hands-on full sandbox version (beyond core DAM/Assets), allowing us to explore and experiment with the various modules.

Customer Onboarding Excellence
What do you like best about the product?
Björn and Juliette made the onboarding experience with Bynder such a success for the team. From answering question after question with kindness and direction to making sure we knew the platform in and out for launch, the whole process has been a pleasure. Thank you so much!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
I can not think of a downside to working with this team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that our creative teams all have the correct assets. Ensuring that our marketing department has the most up to date information, assets, and rights to use. Also ensuring that we are using licensed images/videos correctly without going over the timeline of usage.
Dynamic functions and time-saving features
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest impact Bynder has had our team is to create transparency around our approved content. No longer is that content owned by one group or individual, through Bynder the content is now visible and accessible by everyone. The short term benefit of this is it saves time for everyone. It eliminates requests to find content or see if content exists, saving time for the requestor and action teams. We have also been impressed with some of the specific functions like DAT tool, brand guide and print brand template modules.Together these things have made the our DAM a daily-use tool that supports our work in a number of different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
In particular, print brand templates has been challenging. We have been slow to bring this module online for use with our teams but have enjoyed a good deal of support in clearing hurdles as we encounter them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access to an approved source of brand content that includes images, logos, graphics and audio / video content has been a primary problem solved after launch. Bynder has also allowed us to solve some complex challenges we experienced recently when upgrading our website and digital experience platform. Through Bynder and integrations with other software, our teams served important content to create a better experience across our website.
The experience was enjoyable and informative.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the taxonomy system and having all the assets in one place. My favorite feature is being able to search for a phrase that exists in a document.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, there isn't anything I strongly dislike about Bynder. It is an adjustment going from the folder system to the taxonomy system, so if there is a way to make that process simpler/easier to understand, that would be a good addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder is helping us with version control on documents as well as content distribution to our sales team. Before, it was difficult for them to log into SharePoint to find what they needed, but now we can create a collection for them to view and have all the assets they need in one place. It saves us and them time, as well as makes them happier and easier to deal with.
Loved my experience with Bynder
What do you like best about the product?
The onboarding process was great, Ryan did a good job at going through and explaining everything to us in a way that was easy to process and had no problem answering all our questions. The program itself is fairly easy to use and get a hang of - has made sharing files, especially externally, a lot easier. Plus they have a lot of good connections with other programs like adobe that makes it easier to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a minute to get your head wrapped around the taxonomy structure rather than folders, I think that was the most complicated part for our team. Also not fun going through the initial setup of uploading all of your documents but that's not Bynders fault!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to organize and share files both internally and externally makes our marketing team's life easier.
WD-40 Optimisations
What do you like best about the product?
Bynder is very logical and well laid out. The support we have had for our re-optimisation has been very positive to date. We are looking forward to leveraging AI, and adding some more structure to our processing our assets
What do you dislike about the product?
Support has been a challenge in the past
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Giving us a central location to store master files, versions, and apply tagging to help orgnaise the database.
Collections allow us to share specific asset groups to external partners and agencies with relative ease.

Two year user
What do you like best about the product?
Consistent support - whether through an audit, support tickets, knowledge base, or community, Bynder is consistent and helpful with any problems or requests.
Lower downtime - in the two years of using Bynder, I can only count around four hours where the site was not working properly. Communication is frequent on any issues and estimates on fixes.
Permissions - Bynder offers a level of granularity with permissions and metadata options that other services do not have.

What do you dislike about the product?
Additional Features - while attending roadmap webinars, it would helpful to be forthwith on what are additional services/features with fees and those that are across the board and inclusive of everyone. You can get excited for a new feature, then months later be told it's for an additional fee.
Homepage customization - more granular customization on the admin side, like changing font colors, etc. Furthermore, the ability to have GIFs or videos in the sliders/tiles woud be pretty neat.
Some removed Taxonomy features - I upgraded to the new taxomomy and some of the older features that I used, like having metaproperties in the main bank versus Custom fields, are no longer available and have to be done by the support team.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fact that Bynder does listen to customer feedback and tries to implement some of those ideas is very helpful. I'd rather have a choice in something that is useful than not have the choice at all or have that choice taken away.
Assets are finally organized and accessible!
What do you like best about the product?
Bynder helped us consolidate assets from many silos to one, and it's the best decision we could have made. The support we have received as we stand up the DAM has been incredible and the platform itself is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside to Bynder is the amount of work it takes to stand up the DAM. That said, it forced us to think outside the creative team and how everyone else will be accessing it, so the amount of work we did in onboarding is going to quickly pay off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder brought all of our assets into one platform and it has considerably cut down the number of creative requests we receive.
Stable platform that is user friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very stable platform, technically speaking. This makes it great to use since there are rarely any big issues. If there are big issues they are usually solved very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some little hickups in the system that make it annoying to use and manage sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a place to store and lauch our campaigns and to store all content to support these campaigns. Also other relevant content can all be stored in one place, so that users in our organization know where they have to go for content. This improves clarity of our content strategy.
Bynder is the perfect solution for our global creative teams
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, visual, and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of folders was an adjustment for me and how I work / organize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder will 1) provide us with a single, centralized repository of assets that our global creative teams can use, 2) manage usage rights for relevant assets, and 3) allow teams to self-serve with asset retrieval rather than having our team manually provide them with every request.
