Wonderful DAM system with multiple benefits
What do you like best about the product?
The Bynder onboarding was great. The team made sure that we were all on the same page before going to the next steps, and helped us with all our questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Switch DAMs can be stressful and this was no different. I don't think it was Bynder's fault...but if there was a way to automatically switch over to their system from our old one, that would have been idea.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all of our assests in the same place is beyond helpful! Not only does it free up time for multiple departments, no more going through certain team members to get specific access (everyone can now do this), but we are still able to control who sees what and what they can do with that asset.

Bynder helps create a central repository of assets with version control. It helps transfer ownership and management from an individual to being shared by a team.
Excellent DAM platform and onboarding process
What do you like best about the product?
1. Ease of use. The UI is excellent, and easy for me and the team to navigate, which was a huge priority for our charity.
2. Support from onboarding team. Marilu and Adam provided excellent support througout the onboarding process, and were quick to respond to any issues or snags I had.
3. Uploading assets is simple, and the process should be easy enough for the wider team and organisation, which is key for sustainable use.

What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, there is very little to dislike about the system.
One minor issue the lack of a "duplication" asset finder upon loading. I'm aware there is a duplicate finder once assets have been loaded into the system, but it would be a useful tool to have a duplication finder on asset load.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us at the charity, Bynder has helped to find a central source of truth for all of our digital assets. This has been a long time coming, and will ensure that both the Marketing team, and wider charity, are all using the most recent, correct, and up to date assets (for example, correct brand logos).
The system will also be useful for external clients, such as photographers or corporate partners, who wish to download our assets for use (for example, a brand kit for a utility partner).
Finally, the system will be fantastic in sourcing appropriate stock imagery for social media, video, branding, and web. Given the metaproperty implementation, once our stock photo library has been uploaded we will be able to easily source relevant imagery through metaproperty options and tags, saving the team swathes of time and effort.

What do you dislike about the product?
The system cannot generate a preview image for files like C4Ds, EXRs, zips, etc. We are left with having to manually upload thumbnails for all of these thousands of files as the asset uploader and media import functions do not allow for the automatic bulk upload of thumbnails nor does an API/script exist to allow us to do so. This is a significant stumbling block.
True of any sales pitch, a number of claims made during it didn't materialize as being actual capabilities of the product. Nothing that would be a showstopper but an issue nonetheless.
Workflow module is not a replacement for a PM tool nor does it serve as a comprehensive asset production tool; it aids the function instead of carrying it out
Team in charge of developping new features is "remote"; no direct access. it would be good to have it so to understand and discuss needs around new features and respective prioritization

What do you like best about the product?
Bynder's core strength is it's intuative design which has made adoption of the programme very smooth and training members of the wider team, straight-forward.
As it is highly customisable, the end product is something which really fits into our oganisation's needs. It is certainly not an 'out of the box' programme and takes significant time and work to establish the taxonomy however the onboarding team were incredibly knowledgable (& pateient!) and really guided us through the process - thanks again Jakob & Shelley.
From a techincal perspective, Bynder offers a very comprehensive package for all things related to digital asset management, the ability to tailor the elements adopted within a package has been really useful. Similarly the ability to integrate Bynder with our existing systems and softwares has been helpful.

The tailored & customisable nature of Bynder has been great however I must emphasise that it requires significant amount of work to build the system - and will likely continue to require a significant amount of work to maintain the platform.
Our onboarding managers Jakob and Shelley were fantastic as we went through several iterations of our taxonomy but it must be noted that setting up and adopting Bynder cannot be done (effecitively) without significant work.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder enables us to house all of our digitial assets and content in one place. Previously we were using several different platforms in order to store and share files - which not only is ineffiecent and costly but also lacks professionalism - but Bynder offers the capability to bring all of these functionalities under one roof with a sleek user expereince.

Modules and integrations can be very expensive in addition to the base cost for the Bynder DAM

Bynder allowed us to take what was 3+ different systems/platforms and combine them into one. Saving us cost, time and allowing for a streamlining of key marketing and brand tech.

What do you like best about the product?
The best for us is the ease of use, Bynder is very intuitive. The tagging and absence of folder strucutre makes everything much easier for us. Also the integration to our ERP system thru API is a huge help for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has been a year since we have started with Bynder. We are still very satisfied with it. There is always a solution for our need. We had a little problem with the support, where we expeted bigger help, but once we claimed it to the Bynder team it improved.
Regarding the DAM itself, it still covers all our needs and is super helpful for our company. It feels like we could not live without it anymore as we use it really every day;)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder solved for us problem with searchability of our assets and also of delivery of the assets as it is connected to our ERP systems these things are done automatically. Also saves our time as uploading assets and sharing assets is much easier and faster.

What do you like best about the product?
Bynder's system is user-friendly and easy to understand, and I really appreciated the onbaording process. Ryan and Andrea were exteremeley organized and patient and led me step-by-step through the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is high, and I was not able to fully explore some of the critical integrations.
