Our company has used Webdam/Workstream for the last 2 years.

The ability to share frequently requested assets and have a robust asset library + Workstream for managing the design tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having a robust dashboard (it's coming)

Bynder is great!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can make collections on Bynder and it's super easy to share and store multiple assets at once. We used to have assets stored in multiple locations on a server that could only really be accessed in the office but now we can access our assets from almost anywhere easily. Bynder also allows us to compress files so they're uploadable to our ECOM site.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of glitches and I would love it if you were able to organize assets better. We also had a hard time when building the DAM with our partner from the Bynder team that they kept insisting we meet for weekly meetings and delaying the launch of the DAM when nothing changed from week to week. I would recommend having once a month meetings where the Bynder team and the company are able to work together to review and implement the site. I would also recommend having an option to make folders so that all of the assets are not just stored in one location.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Photo and asset sharing across our company. It's great to have everything in one place and that everyone gets their own unique login information. It has also reduced the number of emails we have received from other teams within the company requesting repeat assets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pay attention when building out your categories.
Bynder has helped our business find solutions for asset management
What do you like best about the product?
Bynder's onboarding process and solutions for asset management, workflow and brand guidelines are the perfect solution for our brand needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding process can be daunting/time consuming
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset management, workflow and sharing brand guidelines. Having a centralized place for all these things is beneficial
Bynder Onboard is Top Notch
What do you like best about the product?
The Onboarding Manager explained step by step what needed to be done and by when. They provided resources to review as well as worksheets to develop the confirmation of the platform for our use. The weekly meetings were productive and the "homework" assignments were not too burdensome to do. The database is robust, but quite flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little more explanation of the use-cases of metaproperties and permissions (especially those which are interrelated) may have helped in our configuration. We had to back up a couple of times and reconfigure because things didn't quite work the way we anticipated. But in all honesty, the robustness and flexibility of the library database makes it hard to get it right the first time. It was really nice that we were able to reconfigure very easily and quickly as we started to understand more of how Bynder worked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to consolidate our sales and marketing digital assets management system with our graphics digital assets management system. We needed a system that was easy to use and easy to administer. Bynder allows to have all of this.
Bynder DAM
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Bynder lets us control who can access our assets while staying organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to stick with designated image sizes is tough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're still implementing across our team, so can't say for sure yet.
Impressive Product and Incredible Team!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Portal view and the way assets are organized by tags - it makes searching so much easier! The users love the simple UI and how quickly they can view assets. Our implementation team was incredible and so helpful with all of our specific use case solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations, especially with metadata tagging, that could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to automate content publishing and regularly track dozens of pieces of information about each asset. We had a problem with file organization and every team worked in silos, but with Bynder, we are integrating the publishing processes and sharing completed material across teams.
It's been good so far but I don't feel that I'm far along enough yet to recommend it to someone.
What do you like best about the product?
Relating assets and being able to save versions within one file.
What do you dislike about the product?
Developing a perfect taxonomy for a complex system has proven a bit complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have realized the benefit that I will have once I introduce this to our full team of not having to send files one off to every member of our sales team and instead everyone will be able to be self sufficient and find our materials for ourselves.
Jason's Review
What do you like best about the product?
The Bynder interface is clear and organized, the searching and filtering is simpe and powerful, the mass uploading feature is impressive in its power, the mass updating is a time saver for our content authors, the flexibility of customizable properties for assets helped our transition be smoother. The API that Bynder offers is a rich set of endpoints allowing our custom integrations to remain mostly un affected from our end user's point of view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the permissions are confusing and complicated with so many options. Some custom information we use is buried in the edit or additional properties panel. Cost for per user accounts is prohibitive and doesn't allow us to get our whole company online without large expense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to improve our existing asset management system and stabilize our content delivery for our live user facing system.
We have achieved better organization, better stability over our previous system. We were able to shift the hosting costs of an internal system along with the support costs to Bynder as a maintained solution and gain a richer feature set at the same time.

Bynder is helping me with my daily workload - saving time, making people happy.
What do you like best about the product?
The easy sharing function with collections
What do you dislike about the product?
the duplicate finder is not perfect at the moment - could be much better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing of assets within the organisation was never so easy with still having the control.
