Robust Platform

What do you like best about the product?
Search features and tagging make it easy to find assets and the visual layout makes it easier on the eye. Backend admin features are user-friendly too. I also like the branding-specific tools within the News Management system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the derivatives didn't apply to every asset. It would be useful to have certain crop features applied to employee photos, for instance, but those crop dimensions wouldn't be applicable to things like logos. I would (and I know other team members have expressed this) also like to be able to batch upload for mobile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
De-cluttering the previously used drive of Marcom assets to an easier to use system. Searchability has improved which will help reduce support inquiries when another team member can't find something. It makes my job easier from a graphic design, web design, and content creation perspective. Allows me to rid stuff off my desktop and not worry about losing those assets because I have a peace of mind knowing they are now well organized.

What do you like best about the product?
Bynder enhanced collaboration and sharing of digital assets across our global organization. It is good solution to overcome from traditional physical hard disks, Ability to keep all our digital assets in one place and organized and search is strength this tool. It also help us to share digital assets seamlessly across different teams with in the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrated plug-ins for Adobe CC as it gives small pup-up and previewing assets is very difficult, Bynder need to improve the interface of the plug-ins is much needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder has met our need. It allows us to organize all our digital assets at one place. it gives a derivatives for the assets which is easy for end user to get what they need and have an option to create collections for different projects.

Great digital asset management system but some taxonomy is not intuitive

  • February 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The way you can customize the homepage and layout; the collections are a great feature; love the filters when searching for assets; the waiting room is also a great way to audit assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The taxonomy is not super intuitive. The "Z-Index" is not the easiest way to structure the assets and often takes a lot of time to re-organize. It is also frustrating that you can in the metafield details screen, you can see what metaproperty dependencies are set up on that metaproperty - but not the other way around. The "types" in metaproperty management are not intuitive. The new waiting room is also not super helpful because you cannot set up saved searches when reviewing assets. The notification center cannot be cleared which gives a false idea that I have assets waiting to be audited. When I click the bell notification center, it appears that multiple assets still need to be audited even though they already have been.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The folder set up structure has been a really great discover utilizing the ".com/show" URL. Utilizing collections are great to provide a collection of our "best" photography.

Nice platform for a global Digital Asset Management

  • February 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Userfriendly, ergonomics, Design, UX, processing speed, efficient search system, collection management, weshare functionnality
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of basic functionnalities (mainly usage rights management), no visibility on Bynder evolution roadmap, support (same issue regularly reported and fixed again & again without nowing the origin of the bug, response time), functionnality to improve (copy and paste of mutiple CMMFs code when you upload assets, asset resizing to be able to keep proportion).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More accurate and uptodate asset management, search system replying to our needs, worldwide user adoption
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Precise you need and compare with Bynder capacities

Nothing to report relative to disliking at this time other API will need to feed our use case 100%

Bynder is a fantastic tool

  • February 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has a great looking Interface and is simple to use - easy to pick up with a very shallow learning curve for new users
What do you dislike about the product?
Royalty restricted assets aren't fully catered for due to the fact that we purchase licences in such a complex manner
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A proper global platform with adoption across the business is allowing us to centralise and control our assets in a much more structured way
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you have a dedicated team of key internal people to manage the process

Fairly easy and integratable

  • February 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Multi assets upload and being able to either apply settings to all, or make amend to a selected few. The other part is the ability to add variables (meta data as they call it) on admin level, so it has a bit more flexibility to tailor it to your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of folder structure. For some campaign materials that typically belong together, a ZIP gives no visual overview, thus a folder would be nice to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset management for a massive amount of SKU's. It will serve as tool to deliver all images to a headless ecom platform. Next to that it also serves as platform to deliver campaign material and open files to stakeholders within the organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great if you also have a decent process and/or dedicated person/team to make sure you stick to your meta convention.

Super helpful tool!

What do you like best about the product?
I am a bigger user of the Workflow tool and it's helped organize our department immensely!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some innovations I'm hoping to see soon - Jira integration, tagging in annotation comments, duplicating jobs, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the Workflow tool as our project management software for our Content and Creative teams. It has created transparency within the organization and a clear picture of our current priorities.

Great tool backed by a great team

  • February 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool itself is incredibly robust and customizable/flexible, as well as end-user friendly. On top of that, the Bynder team is fantastic at supporting the tool from onboarding/implementation to day-to-day support. Friendly, responsive, and deeply knowledgeable. Our own admins find the tool easy to use and support from a user management and training perspective.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics functionality leaves a bit to be desired. Content owners should be able to easily export CSVs that provide full asset metadata and details about whether the assets are getting viewed and downloaded, when, and by whom, without having to turn on or pay extra for a separate "advanced analytics" module.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder DAM solves our issues of content sprawl/disorganization, version control/duplication of effort, and inconsistent tagging and nomenclature. It also serves as the "single source of truth" on our brand guidelines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Leveraging Bynder's professional services (project management, implementation, mass import, etc.) is a huge help, especially for initial implementation and onboarding of user groups.
