The best way to work with content production and approval

  • December 21, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple, yet very powerful. GatherContent was the only solution that we found to solve the old but very real problem of working with clients to develop content for web sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
They don't plan to offer a version in Portuguese (Brazil) anytime soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GatherContent allows a very clear management, making visible who is doing what and especially who is running late or in need for information or approval.

Great for Organizing - Not for Editing

  • December 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That you can create a site map of content that is accurately representative of the site tree you are building out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The components that are created in the template HAVE to be used the way they are built into the template. It would be ideal if they could be reordered (drag and drop) in the order they would likely appear on a page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large scale content management for website redesigns and migration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to utilize gather content for component based websites that are interchangeable, this may not be the best approach since the layouts created are static and cannot move order.

New User of Gather Content

  • December 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about GatherContent is that it gets rid of a lot of emailing back and forth, and holds people accountable to deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface isn't as clean as I would like it to be, and getting email notifications for every single time someone pings you in a comment is pretty irritating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we are solving is workflow. Instead of playing the guessing game to figure out who we are waiting for in the process to more the project along, we know with GatherContent what stage we're at.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's definitely worth a trial! It can save a company so much time, and you'll never know how it's going to work out for your team if you don't give it a shot.

It's the only game in town, but its decent.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is useful for organizing content for website redesigns. I have used it for up to 600 pages of copy for a given website and it is efficient and collaborative.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that the platform is not optimized for atomic design. We use alot of unique components in our website layouts and this tool doesn't allow for dragging and dropping to build a page. It's cumbersome to create a template for every possible combination/order of components for a given layout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to collaborate with clients through the content development process. It helps with version control and not always emailing attachments of multiple versions with tracked changes.

Simple and effective way to collaborate on web content creation

  • November 29, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very user-friendly, aesthetically appealing, well-organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little things are annoying but not awful. There's a red "1" in the upper right corner that never goes away, like I have an unopened message. It will tell me I have an overdue project when it's a project assigned to someone else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and communication issue are being solved.

Get all content in one spot

  • November 28, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fairly intuitive user interface, Easy to set up project templates for recurring projects. Easy to create groups for workflow purposes. Fairly customizable. It looks like there's also Drupal integration, which we'll be looking forward to trying out when we launch our new site.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sends email notifications for every comment, sometimes resulting in excessive GatherContent emails. Setting up new projects can seem daunting at first. Certain auto-formatting options that are available in word are missing, makes a few things a little more manual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management across multiple teams without sending tons of emails and multiple versions of word docs. Version control seems to have improved. Content can now be found in one central repository, vs hunting down several emails with different pieces.

We have been very satisfied with the basic Bynder portal.

  • October 26, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Bynder's interface is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Staff have found it intuitive and easy to navigate through the search and filter features to find what they need.
What do you dislike about the product?
We recently added the Bynder Guidelines feature. This feature is not as intuitive - either for the admin or the end user. We hope Bynder will add additional functionality to make this tool easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing assets, searching and finding assets, organizing assets. The benefits we've realized include better asset integrity, time saved finding the asset needed, better use of assets because they are easily accessible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great interface for first-time DAM users.

Bynder supports our visual brand

  • September 27, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We love how search and filters work best. But we also like the design of the platform; its clean, intuitive and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only being able to review (50) images at a time from the waiting room.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to globally have one space for our photography, finished video and marketing materials while creating efficiencies between image creators, graphic designers and our audience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are lots of DAM products on the market, know your audience and features needed. The modules that Bynder provides helps expand the user experience, but the integration from a UX perspective could use some work.

Fantastic asset management system

  • August 29, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Bynder have absolutely fantastic customer service, and very much hold your hand every step of the way - from designing and setting up the system, to implementing it within your organisation. There is so much scope for creativity, and you can customise the system to have it exactly as you require.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike here, takes a little while to sort out teething problems - and users never end up using the system exactly as intended - but that's all part of the process, and bynder are very responsive and helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In terms of how it has affected our workload - it has shaved off at least 5 hours per week finding and sharing assets with the rest of the organisation - leaving the designers to do more design work!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it!

Excellent DAM tool & customer interaction

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
+ Ease of use
+ Well designed and easily customizable
+ Expertise within the Bynder team
+ Taxonomy and finding files faster than in standard file storage toosl
What do you dislike about the product?
> The collections menu could be better utilized as when you have more than 100 collections becomes had
> As you use more Bynder tool and add modules, the pricing becomes expensive in comparison with alternatives
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
+ Collaboration with resellers and partners by giving easy access to our marketing collateral
+ Creation of fast content for sales purposes (e.g. flyer templates)
+ Finding marketing collateral fast and help onboarding new hires
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's extremely important to first understand what problems you wish to solve in your business and if a Digital Asset Management (DAM) tool will be able to solve that problem, independently of the vendor. If a DAM tool does solve your problem, then don't only look at features, but also culture and where the vendor is headed. I believe Bynder is on the right track, with an innovative approach to branding and the tool is extremely easy to use.
