Census is an absolute game changer
What do you like best about the product?
Census offers a highly efficient, low-maintenance platform for loading business-critical data into third-party systems. Previously, we relied on custom integrations that demanded significant maintenance and ongoing management to ensure performance and efficiency. With the Census platform, this burden is completely eliminated, allowing us to concentrate on the data itself rather than the upkeep of data pipelines and complex integrations. Impressively, our first data sync took only minutes to implement, a process that would typically require hours or even days with the assistance of a data engineer. Additionally, their support team is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, ensuring any issues or questions are promptly and effectively addressed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet found any issues working with the Census platform or their team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary focus of out integration is with Salesforce. We load and process a ton of data from Salefsorce and other sources into our BI/DW for processing. Census then allows us to easily load that processed data back into Salesforce for our users to consume and use for critical business decisions.
Incredibly flexible tool for all your reverse ETL needs
What do you like best about the product?
Every need I have to push data back from my DWH into various tools / locations, Census can do it for me. It allows our business to move at high speed and continue to be fully data focussed and data driven. It's UI/UX is very simple and intuitive so there's no steep learning curve like often is the case with similar tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't yet come across anything I dislike. Everything I've wanted to achieve with Census, I've been able to do so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing me to nimbly support all areas of the business: Product, Support, Sales and Marketing by making the data they need available in the tools they use. As a fast growing, scale-up business we're constantly evolving and so these needs are ever changing. Census makes it very quick and simple to populate the data needed with minimal effort and the sync options offer great flexibility for each need.

Census is very intuitive and makes things that can be technical sometimes, very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has some limitations as you can just play with real-time data and you can not save a segment, but overall it's a very good tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maily, to have all the data integrated in one platform and to be able to create segments in order to impact my marketing campaigns, being able to use all the data sets we have

What do you dislike about the product?
- The UI could be a little better, I do not like that there's no easy way to re-sort columns after setting up a sync.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can leverage data without constant run and downloading a query manually, census does that work for me which saves a lot of time.
if you are in data engineering, you gotta love this software
What do you like best about the product?
No doubt fivetran functionalities are great but their UI is one thing I love. We had to the cost planning and it was very easy for us to understand our growth, our usage and find the best annual value for the contract.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI is great but we saw so many discrepencies between our actual usage and what fivetran showed. IT took us a while for us to make them agree to that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have to pull our data from postgres and these are realtime transactions so volume is huge. On top of that we needed WAL replication. Fivetran helped us bring the data from postgres, excel sheet and salesforce into snowflake for our billing pipeline and ML.
Making ETL code Zero!
What do you like best about the product?
Just in few clicks ETL pipeline with CDC features are up and running. Bootstrapping a pipeline has become much easier after fivetran came into picture. Really resposnsive customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some customisations around certain connectors are not very helpful, but the product is constantly evolving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No code ETL pipelines, easy to setup a pipeline and deliver the data to end users (Analysts)
Really good product, saving time with trust
What do you like best about the product?
We're savaing a lot of devlopment time using fivetran for loading data into snowflake
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to run any dbt command (build, snapshot, test..) from the fivetran UI and a better monitoring view for transformation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran make it easy to replicate our data sources into snowflake. We're saving a lot of time and improve the reliability of our data.
Expensive but reliable ingestion tool
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran is easy to use, have a lot of integrations and very mature.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's pretty expensive and some connectors are very "verbose": automatically unnest JSON, cannot disabled some tables

We collect data from multiple sources: internal (databases, spreadsheets) and external (Salesforce, Hubpost, Google Ads, ...).
Fivetran help us to extract all these sources and store them in our datawarehouse.

Seamless integration with Google Ads & Meta and GA4.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! I wouldnt change a thing if I am honest.

Aggregating all the important advertising & financial data in one place => Metabase.
